Like a great many Mega Man fans, Capcom legend and former
Mega Man producer Keiji Inafune is one happy fellow right now. Speaking with
VideoGamer.com, Inafune says he's 'ecstatic' that Mega Man has joined the
Super Smash Bros. roster. Inafune also said he looks forward to "playing and beating my kids with Mega Man in
Smash Bros."
That's father of the year (2014) material right there. And hey, I just realized something:
Smash will have online matchmaking. How great would it be to go up against Inafune? Win or lose, you will have a story to tell.

God bless inafune
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't be excited to see a character they came up with in a big name game like Smash?
ReplyDeleteMe and Dr.Wily's gonna whoop his little ass.
ReplyDeleteI knew he would be happy! Even though there's a lot of of hubbub about how he didn't "really" make Megaman, he had a big hand in making him, so it's like his kid!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why there are people who dismiss Inafune..?
Unless it's vastly improved over Brawl's online match making you'd be lucky to even complete the fight.
ReplyDeleteWell brawl online lags with 2 people. Kid Icarus Uprising has barely any lag with 6 people. It should be a lot better.
DeleteTake That TrollONO
ReplyDeleteUh... what? From what I remember, when Ono was asked in an interview once about Ryu getting into Smash Bros., Ono said (and keep in mind that Ono is even the Street Fighter games producer) that he'd rather see Mega Man get into Smash Bros.
DeleteSo... what are you going on about?
GO against Inafune... wow. That's unimaginable...
ReplyDeleteInafune also said he looks forward to "[...]beating my kids[...]."
ReplyDeleteGreat news but I rather to see him in his own games. Bring him back, man! I dont care.. Just bring him back! :D
ReplyDeleteSo glad he's happy. =) I think we're all happy, here. Mega Man has been blessed with the glory of Smash...or is it the other way around? Tee hee
ReplyDeleteI think I would freak out and cry tears of happiness if I happened to spar against The Legend.
ReplyDeleteHe can see, Capcom like Megaman but i will be OK to play with Inafune (if my internet connection was good...but it's not T_T
ReplyDeleteIt can be cool to have Inafune with Capcom again.
Megaman was not only made by a guy like a god, haha, he was made by a true team.
But it's sad....i hope, we will see again with some megaman games (next gen for sure).
Megaman is a serie with a huge potential.
I don't play online with these kinds of games as I sometimes get matched with a bunch of idiots who kill me one time and then just run away for the rest of the match. I also seem to get matched with a bunch of rage quiters when I'm the one who is winning. I'd much rather play with my family and friends. :D Still, it would be cool to be matched up with a legend like this guy! I certainly wouldn't complain!
