By way of UDON Entertainment's own Matt Moylan, here's the full cover for
MM25: Mega Man & Mega Man X Official Complete Works. Rest assured X fans; the Maverick Hunter has his own spotlight on the back of the book.
Matt also sends word that a hardcover edition is indeed in the works. The Diamond Comics listing, however, is incorrect; book stores will only be receiving the softcover edition. The hardcover edition is inteded to be exclusive to conventions and UDON's own online store. Price is still TBA.
Thanks for the heads up, Matt!
I'm sure the hardcover will be over at or over $100 too just like the MVC Complete Works book was and UDON's softcover books are useless quality wise when it comes to the binding/spine. Why is it that Dark Horse can release hardcover books like Zelda for under $40 but UDON won't hmm?
ReplyDeleteIt begs the question, Anon. Why won't they indeed. I hope it isn't over $100, because the hard cover and the 100 pages of extra content may be worth the re-purchase.
ReplyDeleteSince I can't make any conventions, Udon online store it is!
ReplyDeleteHardcover is as good as mine when they start.
That cover is hideous.
ReplyDeleteThey better do something significantly different for the hardcover. I'm not doing the Megaman Tribute again where you were literally paying $40 more just to have a hardcover (and they marked it down for a time by half, I believe).
ReplyDeletemy god...that cover sucks and it looks like it took them 5-10 minutes to come up with something so generic looking. can't they put maybe a bit more effort into the cover instead of pasting a couple sprites and calling it a day?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lame cover! While the Japanese one was bad, this is even worse!
ReplyDeleteI still don't see the need for removing all that stuff in the background and make it look so empty. Was it too much for our inferior western brains to handle or something?
ReplyDeleteDoes this book contain any content from the Megaman Legends series?
