A one sunxez recently stumbled upon this curious contraption in Seoul. It's a coin-op Mega Man arcade game. How does it work? Your guess is as good as mine. Guts Man looks pretty angry, though. I suppose we're trying to rack up points, or something? Eesh. I think I'd rather play "Cryodrone."

ReplyDeleteLooks like there's a counter in the center and multiple lights on both Rockman X and Gutsman. My guess is that when the counter begins, either all the lights are on or all the lights are off, somewhat of a health count, and you have to mash the shot button to eliminate Gutsman's health count before all yours are gone.

Oh Jeez. Kinda nostalgic for me. It's one kind of cheapy street arcade games that was popular when I was 6-10 in my country and kids around my age used to play this kind of game whenever they see one and have some coin(though I never seen Megaman-themed one).
ReplyDeleteHow to play this is, well, very simple. you just insert coin, then beat-the-hell the buttons as many times as you can so that you can earn more points, and when a game comes to the end (it was around 20-30 seconds, I guess) you can get the prize ticket that is exchangeable at the nearby small store. The kind of prize you get depends on the point you've earned.
...Childhood nostalgia. oh well.

Hahaha! I am not sure what that thing is supposed to be. Looks like it would not be fun to play at all, but if I were 6, I would have played it. XD Things are more fun when you are a kid, even if it is garbage. lol!
