Hey, would you like one more Worlds Collide cover before we hit the weekend? Well, here's the regular cover for Worlds Collide Part Nine (
Sonic the Hedgehog #250), illustrated by Patrick Spaziante. This one coincides with the
Powered Up variant from the other day.
Also, those interested in learning more about the crossover can head over to
Comic Book Resources for a sizable interview with writer Ian Flynn and editor Paul Kaminsk.
Thanks once again to
Mega Man Monthly for the tip!

ReplyDeleteThat's... really not a good mindset to have.
ReplyDeleteAt least in my opinion.
That wasn't actually me that said that... =/
ReplyDeleteOkay, no, seriously, wtf. Why is someone pretending to be me?
ReplyDeleteAlso, to whoever's impersonating me: If what you think of me is true, then I wouldn't have been so rabidly against what become of X-Over. Though I thought the idea had premise, the execution was beyond horrible. So no. I DO care if the standard of quality sinks on things branded "Mega Man". I just don't agree with people that think that this crossover will be of "sinking" quality.

ReplyDeleteBut it's the only Mega Man thing being made you're not allowed to dislike it!
That was sarcasm.
Er, that part where I wrote "idea had premise" should be "idea had merit". My bad. My frustration made me fumble up my words.
ReplyDeleteI love and respect Spaz and his work but his Dr. Wily has always been absolutely terrifying! :P
ReplyDeleteDefinitely still stoked about this crossover. Big fan of both of Archie's blue hero comic books! ;D
@TheTrueLegend: I'm gonna have to agree with you on that. I love his Mega Man, but his Dr. Wily does seem a little... unnatural? I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I know everyone and their grandmother seemed to dislike Chad Thomas' work, but I honestly think he drew the BEST Dr. Wily of all the Archie artists.
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of the actual topic,
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer this cover over the Powered Up variant. I like the Powered Up style myself, but the variant cover just didn't really do it justice, imo.
