Over the summer, 100,000 Strong for Mega Man Legends 3/Get Me Off the Moon announced plans to build their very own rocket. No, it wasn't meant to literally rescue Mega Man from the surface of Elysium. It's a symbolic gesture.
Three-feet tall and teaming with color, the rocket would usher in the franchise's 25th anniversary and raise awareness for the revival of Mega Man Legends 3. And now, after months of hard work, the rocket is finally complete.
The launch is planned for December 8th, at the Hearne Municipal Airport in Hearne, Texas. If you can make it, awesome. The more support the better. But if you can't make it out, you'll be able to catch a recorded version online at a later date. More details on that option should trickle out in the very near future.
All in all, this should be a lot of fun. I mean, how often do we have these community-wide shindigs where you can chill with fellow fans? Look forward to it, folks.

Thanks for the heads up, Skybane!
I bet the rocket will barely go a foot off the ground and then explode into a fiery mess.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHearne is a 5 hour drive from where I live. I am not sure if I can make it but it would be really nice to go and actually view this in person! Drat that little thing called work getting in the way. XD
ReplyDeleteI have to say, the model is surprisingly accurate to the rocket they had in-game. I'm impressed with that.
ReplyDeleteThat rocket is sexy.
ReplyDeleteP.T. Barnum was right.
ReplyDeleteThat's a super cool rocket!
ReplyDeleteFly Rocket Man! For everlasting peace!
Fun fact: In Project X Zone, the MML characters mention a rocket in their first appearance and in the ending.
