So, There's a Rockman EXE Transmission Album on the Way

Hey, you remember Rockman EXE Transmission, right? The 2003 GameCube-exclusive platformer? Yeah... for whatever reason, the game is getting an official album nine years later!

According to The Mega Man Network, the album is being released by SuperSweep; the company Capcom commissioned to produce the music for the game all those years ago. SuperSweep says the album is the result of fans requesting an official soundtrack for years, so that expains why they're just now getting to it. Sort of. Maybe not. I don't know.

Anyway... the album comes loaded with 28-tracks with music by Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso and Kosuke Yasui. It's due out on November 2nd for 2,625 Yen (roughly $33.50 USD).Unfortunately, it's only being sold from SuperSweep (without any connection to Capcom). Time to rev up those Ebay accounts?

  3. They really did a solid job combining elements of both classic and exe in this game.

Adore the music in this game, especially some of the tracks with small bits of their classic theme in them.(fire man, pharaoh man come to mind)

  4. Oh gosh, yes! I love this soundtrack, and is it just me or does the quality sound like it has improved?

  5. One of my most favorite Mega Man soundtracks!! And it's just NOW getting an official album? Well, better late than never, I guess.

On a side note, I really wish SuperSweep would compose the music for a new Mega Man game. I think they really got all of the things that make Mega Man music down to a science.

  6. @Protodude: If you decide to post my comment, use this one. My PC is acting crazy and I couldn't enter in my name properly before my comment was sent. Thanks!

  7. The game has one of the best soundtracks in the franchise, no doubt. Shinji Hosoe has some truly amazing work. So crisp and catchy. Better late than never indeed.

  8. I think it's hilarious that the companies that helped with "Mega Man" seem to be doing more for the anniversary than Capcom is.

  9. I love the music, but I already have it. What I really want is soundtracks from the anime after the first season.

  10. @anon2: Unfortunately, you have no one but yourselves to blame for that. I hate to sound like the "Top Men" over at Capcom, but there's good cause for them to NOT listen to the likes of you. Let me explain & illustrate: from what I understand, a lot of fans (say 100) said they'd love to buy the soundtrack to the series, but when the company that publishes the soundtrack (avex mode) release the cd, less than 10% of said fans go & buy the actual soundtrack. So tell me, why do you think they didn't release another anime-related music cd for almost 5 years afterward?

  11. Possibly one of my favorite MM games, along with one of my favorite soundtracks of the franchise.

Speaking of which.... check out my LP of this game:

  12. @Rock-X: I don't know, why are they releasing this one?

Also, don't blame me for everyone else not buying what I like. I didn't say it's logical for it to happen. I just said that's what I wanted.

  13. Huh? The tracklist seems to be missing the hero themes from the game?

Could it be due to the fact that they were rearrangements of the anime theme?
