Rockman Xover Could Be Released as Early as Next Week?
Beyond a vague "autumn" tease, we haven't heard too much about Rockman Xover's release date. However, that may have just changed if a blurb from Famitsu App magazine is to be believed. Oh boy.
The next issue of Famitus App hits Japanese newsstands next week on the 18th. According to early reports, this issue will contain “limited edition items” obtained via serial codes for a number of mobile games, including Rockman Xover. Now, why would a magazine publish a limited availability promotional item before the game actually launches? That's the implication here: Xover could be seen on iOS as early as next week.
Pending official word from Capcom, we cannot take this as a guarantee. It's probably in your best interest to take this news with a grain of salt until something a bit more "official" bubbles up. We'll see.

Let's... just get this Xover with.
ReplyDeleteThis is... actually the worst news possible about this game.
ReplyDeleteThis is not good. That means the TGS demo was pretty much the final product....
Still not buying this. I'll put whatever this game costs towards something else.
ReplyDeleteForce Capcom to sell the IP even if it means boycott.
Well they said "early autumn" when it was first announced so they'd pretty much have to get out this month or they'd have delayed it.
ReplyDeleteI guess we all sort of looked at it and thought "there's no way this can be the final product" and expected it to take longer.
Oh well.
Oh, for real? This game's coming out next week? Awesome! I'm just brimming with excitement!
ReplyDeleteWell, the evidence doesn't say much. It could just be that having the content out early was better than having it out late.
ReplyDeleteBut given that the game looks so crappy and rushed, I wouldn't be surprised.
I hope it does so miserably that the entire internet laughs at Capcom.
Anyone expecting the final product to be any different than the TGS demo is seriously delusional
ReplyDeleteI'm going to pray that that was sarcasm, Krazy Monkey.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I won't be suprised if this turns out to be true. With a game as cheap as this, it makes sense that it'd be rushed out so fast to make a quick buck.
@Cyberguy:
ReplyDeleteTrust me, it was. I said before that I thought this game looked worse than Mega Man Universe, so naturally, I wouldn't be caught dead playing it, even if I did have an iPhone device, or whichever platform it's for.
Considering the game's development prolly took a day in total this is believable.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty hard to take you people's bitching about this game when you haven't EVEN paid enough attention to it to know that it's free and always has been slated to be.
ReplyDeleteYou can stop griping about not "buying" it now. If you don't want it, just SHUT UP.
Do you people hear people moaning about yet another music arrangement? The non-fan made ones are usually turds, but do we piss and moan about it? NO.
If you see Xover come up in another article, just don't read it, and for Crom's sake DON"T BOTHER POSTING YOUR POINTLESS WHINING!
So complaining about legitimate flaws is whining now? That's news t- Actually, considering how annoying you "anti-whiners" have been, it's not news to me.
ReplyDeleteStill not going to stop me from "whining" until Capcom stops putting out garbage for product or you docile little garbage disposals stop treating the trash like it's gold just because it has Megaman's face on it.
It's pretty hard to take you people's bitching about people not liking this game when it doesn't matter if it's free and always has been slated to be.
ReplyDeleteYou can stop griping about people not liking it now. If you don't want to read it, just SHUT UP.

@Cucumber:
ReplyDeleteYou can make your shitty game free to play, but it'll still be shit. And we can and will still call you out on your game being shit. Because it's shit, and you thought we wouldn't notice or care just because it was free.
I can't speak for everyone here, obviously, but I rarely ever give something a pass on being utterly and irredeemably awful. Xover's not out yet, but if the release date is next bloody week, and we saw the TGS demo late last month, then what are the chances of it miraculously not sucking by then?
And I find it hilariously ironic that you're screaming at people how "pointless whining", yet you're essentially whining about people having any emotional reaction to this at all. If your brain shuts down the instant you see opinions that don't line up perfectly with yours, then I'd say YOU'RE the one who shouldn't bother posting.
Wow, crummy-looking AND rushed? I'm going to love to see the reviews on this one.
ReplyDeleteI think Cyberguy and RADIX have summed up pretty much everything I wanted to say to Cucumber.
ReplyDeleteAlso, "Rockman", is there any particular reason why you pretty much copied and pasted the post he made?
Eh, since it's free I'll give it a chance if it ever comes to Android.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how good or bad the game is, you know the review scores will go to hell because of angry, bitter fans who probably haven't even played it.
Let me know when you have a real Mega Man game, Capcom, and I'll be more than happy to give you my money.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise, given that there's barely any work put in there :P
ReplyDeletefree to play? so thats why its rushed
ReplyDeletebut im surprised this shit wasnt cancelled
@Rockman: Just because it's free doesn't mean shit. We, as gamers, have a duty to embrace and uphold a level of quality that we expect developers and their franchises to meet across all consoles, INCLUDING the Apple family, while at the same time encouraging devs to raise the bar on those platforms, especially the growing Apple platform. NOBODY is exempt from this.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that free flash games on Newgrounds often look better than this is pathetic. If Capcom needed funds that bad, they should have gone the angry birds route. Free version could have advertising in it, while the paid version doesn't. That would bring some income in at least, and considering there's almost nothing else on screen I don't see any problems there...
At the same time though, it sounds like it will have ingame purchases. Fact is, if the game is shallow as shit and looks like shit, I'm not going to buy them, meaning the game won't have the funding it needs to look better and play better if Capcom wants to. Capcom dug the game it's grave, unless there items are MAJOR, like parts that can make Xover look 100% like the other Megaman iterations and their powers as well.
WTF? the best thing for this world is this game doesn´t get released whatsoever, are you sad about it??
ReplyDeleteWhy are the whiny fans always the first to post?
ReplyDeleteSeriously you guys, be fucking glad we're even getting a game for the 25th anniversary, and that it isn't that shitty looking as BCC. Maybe next year, Capcom may start working on a Mega Man game we would all like to see: ZX3... maybe (though I wouldn't mind SF4 or MM11 haha).

@Anonymous that said "free to play? so thats why its rushed
ReplyDeletebut im surprised this shit wasnt cancelled"
Why Capcom would cancel a video game they put so much (rush) work into and fans from the series were eagerly expecting for years!? And it is free to play!
Looks like the rabbits actually jump now, so at least some progress for level 1 has been made.
ReplyDeleteIt's Capcom' quick troll ? Totaly retarded I want say....why they suck so much ? They dont want make "correctly" a game?

ReplyDeleteRead the post again
Nobody cares.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both Krazy Monkey.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I hope from this is to see the sales record of this 'game' shortly or sometime after release. I want to see just how low the sales end up being.
It's a shame though. I'd hate to be pessimistic, but I can actually see Capcom just dropping MM and forgetting about it when they release how poor this game actually is, much like several of their other old game franchises. *Sigh* I do miss the old Capcom...
...Shoot, shoot, what was I thinking, I should have said DOWNLOAD records, not sale records. Darn old habits of expecting every mobile game requiring purchase.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I still imagine them being low.
@Zerker: I'd rather have nothing than have SHIT anyday, so no, I won't be glad we're getting shit for the 25th anniversary
ReplyDelete@Zerker: For all your talk about how we should accept everything Capcom tosses at us no matter how sub-par, I can't help but feel that you'd be the first one to freak out over your accommodations for anything else being less than perfect.
ReplyDelete@Rockman: My bad was meant for cucumber.
