PXZ Site Updates with Iris Stuff
Running a little late on this one, but what the hey: The Project X Zone official site has updated with some additional details on Iris' appearance. Much of her personality from X4 has been retained, according to her PXZ bio. She still longs to live out her days with Zero in a Reploid-only world; a wish uttered in her final moments.
It would seem PXZ takes place some time after X4... but we're still not sure how (or why) Iris is "alive." Speculation says she could very much be an illusion rooted in Cyberspace (a central area to the PXZ storyline). As cool (and likely) as that sounds, we won't know for sure until the game releases next week.
Anyway, you can see some more Iris-related goodies at the Project X Zone site. Along with some much prettier screens of her confrontation with X and Zero, we also have some voice nice samples to sample. Check it out.

<3 Iris! Also Love her new art!
ReplyDeleteshe's got some new assets.
ReplyDelete@anon1: I think not. She just looks different from the art style of X4 to now. Though if you ask Omar at TMMN, he'll say, "Of course she would, she is afterall a human disguised as a Reploid."
ReplyDelete@"she is afterall a human disguised as a Reploid"
ReplyDeleteMegaman Canon as told by NewGrounds.
Her robo boobs looks a lot more circular/spherical. In the old art it looks like he has a bustier. In the new art it looks like someome just threw some novelty sized basketballs down her blouse. I didn't know it was possible, but we've actually got worse art than X1-4 now.
You know, I always liked Iris. She has such a cute face and such a colorful outfit. She's also crazy as hell. X3
ReplyDeleteLike I said before, Iris is probably alive in this game, because she hid herself while she tried to repair herself. I'm calling it now.
ReplyDeleteI just hope she doesn't die again. :(
ReplyDeleteWhy do you bother questioning this? they'll explain.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened in Namco x Capcom with Juno and other characters. It was expected for this one.
I don't know what you guys are talking about her breasts, they look the same as they did in X4's artworks
ReplyDeletethis is what im fighting for
ReplyDeleteI kind of HOPE it's a cyberspace illusion, otherwise she has to die again just to maintain the status quo. But yeah, I'm definitely interested in seeing what's on post-X4-Iris's mind.

As sad as the general fanbase's misunderstanding of that line is, I STILL can't help but laugh.
It's a cross over game, it doesn't need to make sense.
ReplyDelete@Hypershell:
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know. That line was a mistranslation. In the Japanese version, Zero said something along the lines of "I had to lay low until I was healed."
But still, I'm glad you found it amusing.
@Krazy Monkey: To be honest, both lines seem to me like they convey the same meaning. The English version just sounds clunkier.
ReplyDelete@RADIX:
ReplyDeleteTrue. The two lines may not be too far off from each other, but in the Japanese dialogue, Zero could have also been implying that someone else repaired him, rather than doing it himself. That's further supported by his conversation with Dr. Light over at Infinity Mijinion's stage.
@Krazy Monkey: Infinity Mijinion's stage? I thought that Dr. Light said that in Commander Yammark's stage....... or was it in Sheild Shelldon's stage. Anyway, I just wanted to ask you and/or RADIX something: For the fight with Nightmare Zero, Zero speaks at three different times: 1) When he Dashes, 2) When he uses a Giga Attack, & 3) When using the slash attack. I'm curious to know what he's saying besides "hahahaha" & "UUUUUAAAGH!"
ReplyDelete@Rock-X:
ReplyDelete1. No, that was definitely Infinity Minijion's stage. I'm sure of it.
2. Sadly, I'm far from being fluent in Japanese, so I have no idea what he said. Everything I said in my above posts was second-hand information from a user named "Zan", over at the MegaManX9.com forums. He's actually fluent in that language, and frequently provides information from the original sources; mainly things that ended up getting mistranslated in the English localizations.
I've always thought iris has a nice chest.
ReplyDelete@KrazyMonkey: Oh, okay. Whenever MegamanX9 comes back, maybe you can verify what I heard over on the Nightmare Zero Hacked Fight video on Youtube. I've heard second hand the following:
ReplyDeleteThe Dashing could be "you're not running away", The Slashing may be (Shine) "Die", The Giga Attacking is (Owari da) roughly "This is the end".
