There's something so visually tantalizing about these pieces from Pixiv artist
Taru Souga that I just had to post them here. The effortless convergence of bold lines, high shadows and limited colors make these pieces a true feast for the eyes. You could say the whole style is reminiscent of Atsushi Nishigori's handiwork in
Gurren Lagann. Oh, and be sure to
hit the jump for Souga's
Rockman 3 piece. It's the best of the lot, IMO.
I don't know about you, but I'd love to see Souga tackle the remaining Classic series games. I've got to get this stuff on a poster or something!
I want a Megaman game in this style.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we should mention Gurren Lagann.
ReplyDeleteThe fanboys are too loud. XD
oh wow that's awesome
ReplyDeleteNice Rock and Blues. The positioning reminds me of one of my favourite pieces from R20.

This person should have been hired as the cover artist for these 25th anniversary discs lol...;)

ReplyDeleteTypical hatred of Gurren Lagann cause it is so damn popular and you continue to bash it like the idiot you are... >_>
Really cool! Those should be made into t-shirts! I'd buy them!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a Gainax-produced Megaman anime. Perhaps when the planets are in alignment.
ReplyDeleteGreat, you just made me imagine Roll with Gainax chest.
ReplyDeleteThose are incredible! I hope he does the rest of the classic series or at least does more Rockman tribute art.
ReplyDeleteDANG, that guy makes awesome art! Fudge, I kinda wish I had the skills. XD
ReplyDeleteVERY reminiscent of the eye-catch art from Gurren Lagann!
ReplyDelete... Oh God... The mash-up envoked is uncontainable in one mind!
THE ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE!!!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Now here is a tribute that rocks.
ReplyDeletePierce the heavens with your Drill, man!
