Well X fans, it finally happened. You can boot up your Nintendo Wii today, jump on the Wii Shop Channel and grab
Mega Man X2 for 800 Wii Points.
To commemorate the release, Capcom Unity's feeling a bit charitable. Simply comment on
this post, say which game in the X series was your favorite, and you could win 2000 Wii Points! It doesn't get much better than that. The winner will receive a code via PM.
Good luck! Thanks for the tip, Lou!
This is wonderful news! I've been waiting for this to come out on VC since January! YAAAAAAAAY!!!!
ReplyDelete(X2 is my personal fave) :D
My favorite was X4 an HD X collection would be nice if it was done right.
ReplyDeleteI’m now waiting for Mega Man X3, Mega Man 6, and Mega Mega 7 to get released on the Wii VC.
ReplyDeletex8 is my fave.
ReplyDeleteI had to write on the Cap-Unity that MegaMan X4 is not only my fave X game, But in my top 3 fave games EVER!!! TO THIS DAY from launch back on Sega Saturn, I still make time to play this Gem at least once a week on the Saturn despite having it on GCN & PS1. The game was just Phenomenal! Anime FMV's, Solid Controls, Gnarly OST, Killer Graphics for a 32 bit 2D game, Great heat wave effects on Saturn Version Only in Sky Lagoon Stage 2 & Magma Dragoons stage, Nice Story/Stories, & 2 playable characters since they expanded on Zero from the way he was in X3.
ReplyDeleteWonderful... Finally! I am now waiting for Megaman X3, Megaman 6, Megaman 7, and Rockman & Forte to get released on the Wii VC. It will be 100 complete! :)
ReplyDeleteFuck yeah! Mega Man X2 is my favorite out of the SNES MMX games.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a reason to dust off my original Wii (The one that HASN'T been tricked out with Homebrew).
ReplyDeleteI like this game despite the fact that it forces you to revisit multiple levels.
At least it's not X4. ;)
X2 doesn't force you to revisit any levels. You can get all upgrades on your first go if you pick the right order. Unless you're counting Central Computer to face the final bosses.

The buster power up in Wheel Gator requires air dash found in Overdrive O's stage. The air dash upgrade requires Wheel Gator's weapon. One of them HAS to be revisited.
Not really, you can get the buster parts without the air dash. It's just a bit harder... did it the other day, felt damn good!
