Courtesy of Capcom Unity, we've got our first glimpse of the cover(s) for Archie’s Mega Man #18. No solicitation details at the moment, unfortunately. Nevertheless, it's a nice peek at what's to come from the Proto Man arc:
Stay tuned, and I'll get you that solicitation info as soon it hits.

Sorry, but... The regular cover looks pretty awful. I think that's a first too, unfortunately
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see 14-18 :)
ReplyDeleteThe main cover is by Sanford Greene...
ReplyDeleteI can't for the life of me identify the variant cover's artist or read his signature. I know Matt Herms is in there as the colorist, but I can't figure out who the actual artist is.
It also bothers me that there isn't a compilation of Archie artists anywhere on the whole Internet...
I really tried to like chad thomas's art but that guy.... That being said I am extremely disappointed that Archie is letting him draw more issues
ReplyDeleteThe issue is how loose this cover is. The hard lines are gone for some reason and replaced with more sketchy, expressive lines . . .
ReplyDeleteWhich isn't necessarily a bad thing but the actual art of this isn't solidly structured in how the characters have looked before.
The variant issue looks MUCH better.
Wow, look at both covers.. What a poor art.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the 2nd cover (though I've managed to get both so far).
ReplyDeleteI'm more amused at the reference to Proto-Strike, which is an attack Protoman actually has in a couple of games.
Matt Herms himself cleared up the mystery. Mike Norton is the artist for the variant cover.
