The Many Expressions of D-Arts Rockman X "Comic Version"

Many as in three. Tamashii Web has a new page up giving some in depth detail on the D-Arts Rockman X "Comic Version." What's noteworthy here is a better look at the figure's various face plates used to change X's expression:


You can really see that Iwamoto Yoshihiro influence now! Compared to the face plates of original figure, "Comic Version" is certainly a lot more expressive. I wonder, are these plates interchangeable with each other? That'd be mighty sweet if we could use the original face plates on the "Comic Version" body, and vice versa.

"Comic Version" X will go on sale on November 25th exclusively at Tamashii Nation 2011 for 3,500 Yen ($44.79 USD). Importers, keep your eyes peeled on the usual stomping grounds.

    I fail to see how NEVER BEFORE SEEN CLOSEUP of the figure's face is "old news".

    Did you notice X's nose is actually bigger here than the original? No?

    Manly tears X face is cool.

    Though besides that, I don't see any reason to get this when I already have the Full Armor X.

    Jezzz... It's just close up of the pictures of the faces, nothing new I say. Quit getting your panties in a knot. Unless it shows a different new and improved joints or something then it's new news, if not, than no.

    The injured face is how he got after the cancellation of 2 games from the Mega Man series, and later he cries a lot because of it.

    I personally do not like Iwamoto's style. I know X is supposed to be conflicted about fighting, but I hate having to see him being reduced to a pansy...

    *sigh* there's a reason why the stereotypical badass Zero is so much more popular (and in MvC3 to boot). Ironically, it's only in the Zero and ZX series that X's character gets the most justice...
