Mega Man Volnutt's
facing another attire crisis, and this time it's down to two new choices: Design D and design E. Both designs are modified forms of the most popular choices from the last poll, custom tailored in accordance to fan feedback.
Before you vote, take two things into consideration: 1) according to the development team, Volnutt's new look is designed to appeal to an older audience, and 2) forget the designs of the previous poll! Don't get hung up on how they've evolved since then, focus on what we have right now.
When you've completed your analysis,
head on down to the Devroom and vote. You have a week to make your voice heard; poll closes on Thursday, May 26, at 6:00 PM PST. While you're there, read up on some thoughts and commentary from the armor's designer, and a detailed look at Roll's new look.
Crotchplateless design, you still look aesthetically unbalanced! I'll be voting for D, thank you very much. :P

As I've already said multiple times, Design E looks even worse than what C did. The removal of the butt plate especially bugs me.

design E looks like an aqua-specific armor or something... and the thigh parts are quite weird on it too... how they just abruptly change into the armor-less part...

Man they're really pushing for the plate-less crotch. I gotta admit the armor design for E overall is pretty cool.

I'm voting for E, simply because it feels the most "different" and "new".
ReplyDeleteI want him, much like the rest of the returning cast so far, to feel newly designed. I kinda hated how the previous voting was basically all the nostalgia-kids going "ZOMG MML2 DESIGN OR UR DUMB", even though 99% of them never even played the Legends games when they were available. XD
Plus, as we seen with Volnutt's walking animation, HE STRUTS GOOOOOOOOD!
A belt would fix it.

ReplyDelete"Buster Cannon"? Isn't it the weapon made from the Thick Pipe and Artillery Notes in Mega Man Legends 2? Talk about a bad translation... (it's "Rock Buster" in Japanese version, so no, it's not a redesign of the Buster Cannon :P )

ReplyDeleteAll I can walk away with from these designs is that E's gloves belongs on Barret. It's a decent trick of angles to replicate biker gloves. That would be much better than his gauntlets' fingers just being painted.

But...yeah, now D looks a whole lot better than E. I think it was the chestplate. Darn, and I was really going for the glove design on C and E...

ReplyDeleteDesign D is the one that I hope wins. Aside from the redesigned shoulders, I think E seems even weaker design-wise than any of the designs from last round, and that's disappointing. Still not a fan of the black hole in the middle of it, either.
E for me thanks. D is fine as well. What the heck.. Either are fine.
ReplyDeleteD looks better to me. it would be nice if he had alternate armor though that looks different when you equip them and not just little changes like they had when you equip like the boots. i really like that purple he had in tvc that would be cool if he had alternate colors as well for his gear.
