Spotlighted in tonight's Rockman Online blog update: Blues! Yes, like many classic series characters before him, the bot with the shades has been resurrected and he's looking as sharp as ever.
While there is no confirmation that Blues will be among RMO's playable characters, the blog does seem to imply that he will at least be a very important character when it comes to plot. Shame, really, because I'd love to play as that. ---->
Anyway... nothing hugely major mentioned over at the blog. Just a recap of Blues' history: his conception, his faulty core, etc. Nothing new, really.
Of course, this is based off of an initial translation. There might be a few more striking details I might have missed, but we shall find out soon enough I'm sure.
UPDATE: As anticipated, more details. Hit up The Mega Man Network for the full scoop

He looks like he's a mascot of Skittles.
ReplyDeleteShield Reminds me of Omega-Xis
I'd like to see what they come up with Bass.
It is a shame they said no playable Protoman and Bass.
ReplyDeleteCloaked Bass looked badass.
Very sexy and streamlined. I like it. This game seems to be turning into it's own little spin-off series more and more. I too would love to play as him though. Just look at that mighty shield. Too cool.
ReplyDeletelooks like a power ranger / alien. -_-
ReplyDelete(but still kind of cool i guess)
This, Is the most amazing blues video I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteHis helmet looks cool, but everything from there... eeeyugh. He does look like an X series character now, though. Which I assume was the intent. I still think Cutman's design was terrible, though.
ReplyDeleteSomething about his color scheme doesn't seem right, maybe the blue portions...
ReplyDelete(Yes, i know the irony...)
Proto Man was awesome in his Rockman Online artwork
ReplyDeleteWhat does classic Megaman look like in this game?
ReplyDeleteI still don't get this game.
I don't get MMU either.
:(
Is that the actual Proto Man, or is it one of those new-generation Reploids that copy the appearance and abilities of other Robot Masters?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Mega Man Zero/ZX redesign of Protoman.
ReplyDeleteIts like they transported the Protoman from Battle Network and upgraded him with parts from the X2 armor. I like it as well, Protodude.

ReplyDeleteWhich artwork? It's actually kind of funny. Online looks like it is host to no less than three art styles. The promotional frames that more or less mirror the official X/Classic artwork. The anime trailers that are big on square gear joints and rivets. Then these in-game models or model concept art. It seems like a lot more multiple choice
Anyway we saw Protoman's design a while back. But I do like him getting his helmet crest on his shield.
He has a V on his belt...
ReplyDeleteV for Vile (aka Weil)? O-O
Wow, how... garish. This is the first Rockman Online re-design I don't like.
ReplyDelete"He looks like he's a mascot of Skittles."
ReplyDeleteThought the exact same thing. Rainbow.
My only gripe is that the face of the helmet goes a bit too far down. Other than that, he looks pretty slick! :D
ReplyDeletePlayable or not, maybe Proto Man and Cut Man are wearing a armor, while the first video showed them without it? Duo is also very different with his armor.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Mega and Bass will have a Rush and Treble armor.
I don't like the design all that much.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the trailers with the classic-looking Protoman and MegaMan? They were amazing, I thought they'd go with that.
Holy shit, did I say video? I meant picture.
ReplyDeleteThis is just amazing though.
I love everything but the shield. Also, where did the cape go? I loved that cape... Q__Q
ReplyDeleteOne thing I would have to say is that there's too many colors in this design. I would lose the blues (ha-ha...) and replace them with whites or yellows. But as far as the actual design goes, I love it to death. =)
That's a rather...interesting take on Proto Man's design. I wonder how Bass' design is going to be handled?
ReplyDeleteThis is shaping up to be an interesting game. Although not canonical I will suspect, I think it's a good look into some of the what-ifs of the series.
ReplyDeleteI still wonder if they explain what happens in the mid-20XX era, as seemingly something big happens to where the discovery of X (and a revival in robotics in general) is a big deal when Cain finds X.
Then, I wonder how Proto Man and the others are still up and around. Did someone fix that faulty reactor of his?
The only complaint I really have here is the green and blue stuff on his shield. Other than that, ok, sure. I did think they'd go with the trailer stuff.
ReplyDeleteMEH.
ReplyDeleteMegaman is falling down a hill and can't seem to stop.
And with Inafking off doing his own thing...
