To vote, head on down to the contest's official forum. Click on a thread to view a member's entry, which will include an illustration and some commentary about the machine. At the very top of the thread, you'll find a star scale:
You're allowed one vote per thread. Adhere to the following scale when voting:
- 1 star: I didn't like it at all.
- 2 stars: I don't hate it, but I'm not a huge fan.
- 3 stars: It's all right.
- 4 stars: Better than most, but not quite a favorite.
- 5 stars: This idea is the best!
Do bear in mind this isn't an art contest -- votes shouldn't be based solely on one's artistic ability. Take into consideration other information provided; ask yourself, based on the ideas provided, is this a boss battle I'd like experience?
Votes will be accepted until December 5th at 11:59PM PST. Shortly after, Capcom will select the top five Western submissions. What happens after that is anybody's guess, but we'll probably have more details shortly.
Best of luck to all of you who submitted a design. I'll follow up with the results as soon as they're published!
Sorry to do this again, but I do hope you guys will check out MegaMan Legends Station's collaboration entry: Seeteufel! I'm not asking you to give it 5 stars; rate it however you feel like rating it. But I hope you like it. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to see all submissions from all pages and vote to them all! Many people forget to look beyond the first page, and many are worth at least looking.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned the bit about art... I think most people overlooked mine because of my comparitively poor artistic skills, but the two commentors I got mentioned that my mecha seemed like a "pain to battle", which seemed to me to be a compliment (that's the way they made it sound...). I think the way I stayed true to the dev's original vision should also earn me a few points, but that was just how I went about designing for the contest. I'm sure some people might prefer originality over faithfulness.
ReplyDeleteI think it's also important to mention that, besides giving each entry a fair chance being a great thing to do, the voting system is currently glitched to hell. A bunch of jerks are capitalizing on an exploit found in the star rating system and are tampering with each entry's overall rating. Votes mean nothing at the moment.
ReplyDeleteHowever, jgonzo says that this will be fixed by tomorrow.
Same here. Mine is on the fourth page, so when I compare my 11 votes with the front pages 100's, I feel sad that people don't look much further. I'd love it if someone took a look at my design.
