Shinsuke Komaki!
Komaki's design won with a total of 6,202 votes, a combined total from both the English and Japanese polls. Komaki's design will make it into Mega Man Legends 3 where the character will play the role of a new heroine by the (tentative) name of Lilly.
Komaki, pleased with winning, kindly requested the team to "Dash-ify" his design; in other words, spruce it up to make it better fit in with the world of DASH/MML.
Details on Lilly's specific role in the game are scarce, however, some initial, albeit scant details on her character were revealed on the dev room a short while back. You can read up on that here.

Yay. I vote for it too. AWESOME! Now, I can rest. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah! Pokemon rules the world. :D
ReplyDeleteWhaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? NO!!
ReplyDeleteOh goddammit I DON'T want to see MML3 now ;_;
awww damn.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Komaki.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Suetsugu's design. I hope other designs don't get botched and that we could still see them even as minor characters..
Heh, it's the one I voted for, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd as I expected, now everyone's going to/is going, "I DUN WANTZ DIS GAEM ANYMO!"
No wonder Inafune left Capcom, he's not only sick of the company itself, he's sick of you fickle-ass "fans", as well.
@Anonymous 2: Haha, you're basing your entire purchase of MML3 on the design of one characater. :P
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOO! She's a freaking Pokémon character!
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Generic moe-ness.
ReplyDeleteI realy can't stand that design. It doesn't fit Legends to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm realy dissapointed that Sensei and Yoshikawa didn't win. I just hope that they are going to appear in the game in some sort...
Damn ...
I voted for Sensei's design and am bummed that his design didn't win. I really hope it's still featured in the game somehow. Preferably quite prominently. I know it got second place, afterall.
ReplyDeleteHigurashi's design was the best :( It will not be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteInsurance will not be relevant role in history :)
ReplyDelete@Previous anons: A Pokemon character? She IS a cute Pokemon! *kicks*
ReplyDeleteHer style doesn't fit the series like the designs of Sensei, Yoshikawa and Higurashi. Not even Sera and Yuna were this "puffy".
Oh well... Congrats to Komaki. Let's see how it's going to be in the game.
@TAG and Amir:
ReplyDeletenah Fufu-san is not sick of us hun. we're free to express opinions :p
And anys I can't get MML3, but a character like that suits more in game like exe or even frikkin' pokemon, not MML3! And she's ugly as hell, I mean who the heck wears that ugly shade of brown with blue and has hair with no structure looking kinda like wings.
Oh well, hope when dashinized, se'll look better.
But aw HECK, Sensei deserved it!
I kind of agree she looks like every generic anime girl ever, but...it would have been my second choice. I can't say much of anything, I guess, considering I dislike Legends to begin with.
ReplyDeleteI voted for the little Indian girl anyway ^^; (forget who drew her, derp).
I was either rooting for this design or Setsuego's. I feel that the name Lilly suited it, the runner up, far better than Komaki's winning design. They definitely should change the name to something else now. Perhaps another flower name? As for dashifying it, I think Komaki got the shoes down already, lol. Now they just need to tweak the design slightly away from the Battle Network route and eureka. Perfection.
ReplyDeletePS: How about the name Lucy? Not too far from Lilly...and she kind looks like a Lucy. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteAmir, 100% with you.
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth...
ReplyDeleteI... Really liked that design for the new heroine of Legends 3! :3
Go ahead, flame me if you dare, but that design won the contest, so if people are gonna bitch about it, don't.
And I had to agree with the Anon who thinks the fans are not reposnible for Inafune leaving Capcom, it was the stress that the company was giving him.
Great another flatchest.
