This pretty much made my weekend. If you're a die hard Legends fan whose suffered the anguish of the near ten year long wait for Legends 3, find yourself five minutes and watch (and listen!) to this:
I can't even begin to tell you how true those lyrics resonated with me. Huge, huge props to Dashe of the Mega Man Legends Station for this. Excellent work!

I'm so downloading this~ The start isn't wonderful, but the middle on is very ncie a funny. Yeah this describes me with Legends 3.
ReplyDeleteYes! this song summarized ALL my feelings toward the 10 year wait of MML3 in about 5 minutes!
ReplyDeleteThis is the very definition of awesome
ReplyDeleteYeah she rules!!!
ReplyDeletepokeman saga sucks balls and THEY know it!!
LOL THE SWEARING~! XD *shot*
ReplyDeleteOkaaaaay.. What day did X8 make it here..? Where's our song?! LOL.
ReplyDeleteOk, December 7, 2004... to.. today...
5 years, 10 months, 18 days (and still waiting forever more)...
Mega Man 8 to Mega Man 9..?
February 27, 1997, to September 22, 2008...
11 years, 6 months, 27 days....
...crap.
Why do we fans of the first three franchises (and as far as I am concerned, the most important ones), have to wait almost a DECADE before a new game is released???
*hunkers down to wait*... T______T 5 more years to do.... They gotta do something at 11 years... .. right?
I'm still waiting for that sequel to Megaman Soccer! How long has it been?!
ReplyDelete...
Just kidding.
Picking on Ryuusei ruined the whole thing.
ReplyDelete^Oh lighten up. It's all in good fun.
ReplyDeletePicking on Ryuusei is considered 'all in good fun', but I bet people here would be screaming bloody murder if she was picking on MM9 towards the middle section there.
ReplyDeleteNot that I actually like Ryuusei, mind you.
Love it! I cried more than sweared, though. xD
ReplyDeleteI love how picking in Ryusei is all open-season, but the second I said that MM10 and Zero Collection weren't good, oh ho ho hoooo shit, if this were an in-person conversation I might've ACTUALLY get killed by the people here for saying it.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the song was great, but that part was just stupid. I'm not trying to be an SSR-fanboy, just saying that it was really not needed.
Especially seeing how if she wanted to start bitching at first, it should have started at the 2001-2002 revealing of EXE1 and such since they were MUCH closer to DASH 2's original release.
@Higaki Rinne
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you.
This was fantastic. Kudos to this girl for summarizing so many fans' exact thoughts on such an infernal wait.
ReplyDelete@Higaki Rinne and Aliltias:
Anon's right, and you're both wrong, at least in my case. It's all in good fun, and I would have found it funny regardless of whether she'd picked on Star Force or Mega Man 9. Or any other game. Because it's a fucking JOKE.
And, for the record, I love both Star Force and Mega Man 9.
@Wolfshadow
ReplyDeleteHey, At least when we would get X9 then XX two years later
Overall, its an okay song P: not my taste
Song was lame, way too lame.
ReplyDelete@ Ash Paulsen: You might have laughed regardless of whether or not she picked on Star Force or MM9. But that's because you know better than that.
ReplyDeleteConsidering how much people here flip over anyone badmouthing the early Classic games and MM9/10, I'm not so sure the rest of the Classic fanbase wouldn't be flipping out right now if she dared to say anything about MM9 and 10.
It wouldn't matter to me in the slightest if Mega Man 9 got bashed in this video, because I found that game to be a massive disappointment.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Protodude! :] You're the greatest!
ReplyDeleteSeriously. If I'd had any clue this would catch on at all outside of Legends Station's contest I would have definitely polished it up much more and wouldn't have bothered to cram it in by the deadline. o_o I am most certainly gobsmacked, to say the least!
Bravo! The song/video pretty much nailed how most of us feel. lol
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who can't stand cheesy singing, even if it tugs at heart strings?
ReplyDelete...ugh.
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Wow...
...I guess my dislike of all the "OMG MAK TEH LEDGENDS 3" whiners wasn't unwarranted after all...
Wait, the song picked on Ryuusei? Must've missed it while finding how cute the animation and song was.
ReplyDeleteI have barely played any of the Legends games, and yet I found myself smiling through the whole thing: I especially LOL'ed at her:
ReplyDelete♪Legends 3 had better get here, we're all getting old & fat.♫
♪No one needs this StarForce BLEEP Whoops, did I say that?♫
I guess the way this song was made reminds of the popular 90s Disney songs, and while I barely started SF1 and watched only the english dub of the anime, I can appreciate she was making a friendly jest on the series. Hell, its too fracken obviously it was nothing more than that. You people read too much from all this blogging crap.
A lot of fans wanted Legends 3. So yeah, this video will help make people paitence on waiting for the epic finalie to the Legends series.
ReplyDeleteThis. This right here. This is absolute win. This better at least get a mention in Capcom's contest, if not win it. :(
ReplyDeleteThe animation is really choppy and ugly but at least the lyrics were somewhat entertaining.
ReplyDeleteThe song is true, but damn someone has watched way too many musicals. =P
ReplyDelete@skaarg: Heeey, if a Legends fan can casually enjoy a show tune or two once in a while, there is nothing wrong with being a Broadway fan who enjoys a video game or two! ;]
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's pretty much exactly what I feel.
ReplyDelete
