"Today we launched game development. It’s a short development time, but I think it’ll turn out to be a pretty enjoyable game.
For now, thanks curry.*
Next one’s already reaching a climax, yet…"
Interestingly, all projects Yamada talks about on his blog are in some way related to Mega Man, notes The Mega Man Network. I wonder...?
*curry tidbit is a running pun on the blog, nothing to do with the game :)

Well, we can probably assume it's not ZX 3, since that ship has sailed.
ReplyDeleteMy guess? With such a "short development time," I'll say Mega Man 11. I just hope, hope, HOPE it isn't Mega Man Zero 5. Argh.
Mega Man Zero 5
ReplyDeleteMega Man ZX3
Mega Man 11
Could be also Mega Man Universe or the game that links MM series with X series.....who knows lol
ReplyDeleteWell, whatever it is, it's from Inti Creates.
ReplyDeleteIs that a man or a woman?
ReplyDelete"Next one's already reaching a climax..." kind of sounds like he's referring to a game being finished now with the new one just starting.
ReplyDeleteMegaman ZX3!
ReplyDeleteMegaman X 9! --- Oh I just remember.. So... X8.5!!
Yamada's a man, Dynamo :)
ReplyDeleteDid Inti Creates do BCC?
ReplyDeleteTalk about a slapped-together game. :P
If he's saying "short development time" that makes me think MM11. I mean if it's got NES graphics, then surely that wouldn't take long. I guess Zero 5 probably wouldn't take too long either. Then again, what's Inti Creates' measure of short?
ReplyDeleteIf he says it has pretty short development time then I am guessing it's probably Mega Man 11. No doubt they can churn them out no problem with their solid experience now. Who knows for sure, but I really hope it's something creative.
ReplyDeleteIf it shorts development time, IMO, Its a remake/spin off. And no, They prolly wont do a MM11, But I'm personally thinking Legends 1&2 in one game disk, Along with a (possible) preview of the next game they are making, Whether it be a Legends 3, X9, XCM2, Or any other megaman game.
ReplyDeleteIf i'm right about this, Someone better pay me 20 bucks. j/k
Dash collection would be awesome. However, I don't think Inti made dash, rather it was the same dev team that worked on the EXE and Ryuusei series; I doubt that it will be what you expect.
ReplyDeleteCurry? Servbots! Legends 3, Legends 1 remake or other DASH game!
ReplyDeleteHuh. Looks like my original comment didn't make it through for some reason. Anyway, what I said originally was...
ReplyDelete... the same as what a lot of you are saying now. Given the comment about the short development time, it's likely Mega Man 11. If that's the case, it works for me.
I just hope it isn't Zero 5. Please, not Zero 5. Don't ruin that ending, Inti...
Zero 5 - possible, since we all wonder what happened to Zero in the end, if he is dead or not
ReplyDeleteZX 3- likely, the last game left us on a cliffhanger
EXE 7- could happen, but also could not happen considerring what happened at the end
Starforce 4- likely concerning the hobby fair coming up, also,if I remember right, Inafune said it was the climax, not the conclusion, those are two diffrent things, if it is Starforce 4, hopefully, it will make up the mistake that was Operation Shooting Star, or it could jump the shark like EXE 4 did, who knows really.....
Legends 3- possible, hopefully a yes, the last one ended on a cliffhanger, that's a DO NOT WANT!
OSS2- HELL NO, we do not want to make THAT mistake again, that's for sure
Megaman 11- my opinions are mixed, but maybe they will have another female Robot Master again
X9- You know it won't be, Inafune said that the next game with X will not be X9
Megaman online- Hmmmmmm........
Now it looks like people have begun to accept the idea that Classic games have short development times.
ReplyDeleteI hope some of these people realise what they're doing when they turn around and say that's a bad thing when talking about the EXE and Star Force series.
But anyways, IntiCreates. We all already know from that alone that chances are high it's NOT related to the Network Timeline at all.
On a side note, is commenting over at TMMN broken for anyone else?

ReplyDeleteWell said. Who gives a shit how long the development time is as long as the game's good? That goes regardless of the series in question -- Classic, Battle Network, Star Force, whatever.
But anyway, yes. Inti's involvement means this likely has nothing to do with the BN/SF timeline. I'm definitely leaning toward Mega Man 11.
Inti worked on MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge so a battle network game is possible.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, we could see a game that most likely has nothing to do with a storyline, no matter the series.
We will most likely just have to wait until the Summer World Hobby Fair to find out anything more.
I'm more interested in the "next one's already reaching a climax, yet..." part. While this seems to imply another classic RockMan game (i.e. RockMan 11 like a lot of people are speculating), I just wonder why RockMan 11 would be hinted at first in this way. Why would he leak something like that this early when we didn't hear about the previous two classic RockMan games until they were nearly finished and being localized, to the point where they were both announced in Nintendo Power? Huh. (Inti did do BCGP/BCC, but I highly doubt this has anything to do with the action RPG series.)
ReplyDeleteStop wishing any of those pokeman games, geez.
ReplyDeleteMega Man x9
Mega Man x9
Mega Man x9
Mega Man x9
Mega Man x9

In other news, his sunglasses are freakin' awesome.
ReplyDeleteIf he had a goatee, he'd look like the guy from School Rumble.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I'd like to see 11, X9, or Legends 3 in equal measure. I'll take any of them.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to also see another Battle Network or Star Force game, but those stories are finished, and they ended quite well, I might add. I'd rather them not mess with the established endings.
I'd be completely down for a sequel series to Star Force, though... or even a Battle Network interquel.
lmfao its not going to be mm 11, mm 10 just came out two months ago
ReplyDeletetheres such a thing as "pacing" guys
despite what you guys think it DOES take time and effort
christ these comments are so depressing
Khorosho --
ReplyDeleteNo one said it doesn't take time and effort. If it is Mega Man 11, just because the development time is short doesn't mean enough time and effort won't be put into the game to make it great.
Fact: Mega Man sequels almost always use reusable assets. A lot of them. That greatly cuts down on development time (the team doesn't have to recreate a gameplay engine, main sprites, etc.), and allows more focus on honing the aspects that are unique to that sequel.
No one's saying Mega Man 11 would suck just because of a short development time, and if they are, they're idiots. Mega Man 10 didn't incubate for an especially long period of time, yet it turned out better than Mega Man 9, which itself was already great.
@kotipeltox: IT'S NOT GOING TO BE X9, did'nt you hear what Inafune said?
ReplyDeleteI hope this new game is Megaman Star Force 4. The last one was amazing! Maybe Mm Universe has something to do with the Mm of the Star Force series since they are both astronomy related. Maybe even a new mm will join up with mm of star force. Hmmmmm.... Megaman Star Force 4 in 3D for wii!!!
ReplyDeleteShort development period eh... I think a Battle Network collection isn't too unlikely. I mean we have the Zero collection coming out on Tuesday and it shouldn't take that long to make a Battle Network collection.
ReplyDeleteLets see its not a Legends game Inti is not good with 3D graphics.
ReplyDeleteBy reaching climax it must be a series that hasnt reached a climax yet. So its not EXE, Starforce, X, or the Zero series those have already reached a climax( X is not too sure about the climax thing but its still not a X game).
Its not a remake or prequel it would seem so it can either be a ZX3 or a MM11. My money is on a ZX3.
@DarkEdge: by reaching climax, he means a game is nearing the end of its development.
ReplyDeletegogogo mmz5 , zero can`t die so easy D:
