Tomorrow marks the beginning of the most important week in gaming all year: E3 Expo 2010. Capcom, among other developers and publishers, will be in attendance, and while their preliminary games list makes no mention of Mega Man, they've got a couple surprise unannounced games in store. Will one of them be the ever-mysterious Mega Man Universe? Or something else entirely?
Naturally, I will be covering any Mega Man news that develops from the show...from the sidelines, unfortunately. Although I was invited by Capcom to attend, I reluctantly had to decline the gracious opportunity due to other obligations. Nevertheless, I'll do my absolute best to have up to the minute material. It's interesting, you know? Why else would Capcom invite both myself and The Mega Man Network if they weren't showing something Mega Man related? Food for thought.
Stay tuned!
Yeah, were you and TMMN invited to E3 in previous years? The people of TMMN were invited too, and they're attending.
ReplyDeleteBecause, well, why would Capcom invite all of you guys if they have nothing Rockman-related to talk about?
This marks the first time I've been invited; part of the TMMN staff I believe attended the 2005 expo, but haven't recently.
ReplyDeleteSomething might be up...
You know, this actually gives me a glimmer of hope again. After seeing that list, I figured that a Mega Man game wasn't going to show up at E3 this year, just like the last year. Here's hoping that Powered Up 2 is shown, since Inafune claimed that it has a strong chance of happening, despite the low sales of the first one.
ReplyDeleteSomething must be up. I can't wait. :D. I wish I was able to attend. I am all the way in Florida, though...nearly impossible for me right now, lol.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww! I would have loved to meet you in person Protodude! (I’m going this year. I was surprising selected as a winner in Capcom Unity’s E3 contest.)
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Alilatias, why would they invite you and TMMN (the two best places for all Rockman related news) this time around. I hardly doubt revealing which Rockman character(s) will make MvC3 is that big of a news piece. Capcom's planning something big...
Maybe they're announcing MMOnline already? I'm guessing no, though. Wonder what the big secret would be..
ReplyDeleteyeah outside of who's in MvC3 I'm not really expecting much in the way of Mega Man news
ReplyDeleteHuh, they must love you and your blog if they invited you. That's pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI love e3 already, and will all the more if a new megaman game is shown off!
Doubt it'll be Universe though, since that's still Asian-release-only.
Crossing fingers for ZX3, kthnx.
ReplyDeleteAt this point I'll take whatever they can throw at me so long as it's not another EXE spin off ... or on PSP.
In before annual DASH 3 disappointment. =P
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for something big this year that isn't related to Battle Network or Star Force. Don't get me wrong I like those games, but we haven't had a platforming game in a while except the 8-bit games. I'd like to see something that takes advantage of this generations systems.
I'm definetly expecting Megaman Online, if not, maybe we will get Legends 3 or Starforce 4, or even Megaman 11
ReplyDelete@Masterg377:
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a little too soon for Mega Man 11, though? It's only been three months since Mega Man 10 was released.
Heres to hoping that Mega Man X9 is in the mix! I really dont care about an online game, but anything X related is cool.Bring on the Mets!
ReplyDelete@Masterge77: Might as well go a couple more an list all of them! XD
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: Indeed
ReplyDeleteSo far today, no Megaman or Capcom info, but we did get to see one capcom game: OKAMIDEN! but sadly no info on Megaman yet, nor Pokemon Black and White, maybe tomorrow
If we do get a Megaman game, who knows what it is, maybe it’s Legends 3, Exe 7, Starforce 4, ZX3, maybe even Megaman 11, hopefully Megaman Online
They've invited The Mega Man Network in the past? Even though that site has illegally distributed their music? And even your blog in the past has linked to RockmanPM's download links for the music.
ReplyDelete@ Mike: Illegally? Perhaps. Does it look like Capcom really gives a damn? Nope.
ReplyDeleteSoooo was something announced that I missed?
ReplyDeleteNothing, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteWhat about WHF? Any hopes or rumors?
ReplyDeleteI've been looking. Nothing from their either.
