Mega Man Zero Collection will be out in the US on June 8th. But what about Europe?
Well, according to a recent update on Capcom EU's homepage, Zero Collection has been given a solid European release date of June 11th, just days after the North American version and a day after Japan (June 10th). Not much else to say than that, but it's great to see it releasing alongside the others so soon. Remember how far off EU Mega Man released used to be? Sheesh.
*snores*
ReplyDeleteIt's just GBA ports, why do people care so much? -__-
Because one tiny cartrage with extra features that will most likely cost less than 4 seperate games that's why. Also DSi owners who cant play the orginal games that's what
ReplyDeleteSaito...*slap* what the hell is wrong with you it maybe a port but its the best port ever!
ReplyDeleteThe best port ever, you say? I wouldn't go THAT far, but at least it's a heck of a lot better than what Sega/Sonic Team's been doing with all the Sonic collection's they've been dishing out. I honestly cannot count how many times they've re-released Sonic 1, 2, etc., and yet they still refuse to add anything new to their collections, which they haven't re-released before (like Knuckles' Chaotix, for instance). At least Capcom hasn't been doing anything like that.
ReplyDeleteRemember the horror that was ZX. It came out here just days before the sequel came out in Japan.
ReplyDelete*parries slap, Street Fighter III style*
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I refuse to believe a bunch of GBA ports of games that everyone ORIGINALLY BITCHED ABOUT IT'S VERY EXISTENCE when they first came out, back in the day, can NOW be called "the best port ever."
Seriously, Rockman fans need to make up their fucking minds. Is it good, or not good? Pick a side and STICK WITH IT.
Like, in my views, Shooting Star was fan-fucking-tastic. Oh, but because a bunch of retarded people (in other words, the fanbase) said otherwise, we're never getting another SSR game, ever. Much like the cases of ZX and DASH. Along with the X series, which will likely be following the same path, sooner or later.
Also, I can find tons of people on eBay who would sell all four Zero games, for much cheaper than whatever this DS game is going to cost.
Hell, I wouldn't pay money for this, ever. I'd rather spend my money on an actually new game, not just "ports with extras." Hell, these extras aren't even gonna be good. Ooh, a Gallery with 100x300 pixel images that you could find on Google Image search in HD quality.
Ooh, MAYBE the e-Reader features for Zero 3. Oh wait, we already had that in the actual GBA game, for those who could actually read a lick of Japanese.
They say there's gonna be "remixed songs" but from what I've seen of IntiCreates, they can't make a decent remix to save their lives. *CoughRM9Arranged,RM10Arranged,AllZero/ZXremixOSTsCough*
So that debunks the point of that part. Hell, even EXE OSS's "remixed songs" were nothing more than one extra channel of sound added to the older songs. And I've got the hunch, that's all the "remixed" Zero Collection music is going to be.
Even X Collection is better than this, at least we got translated versions of Battle & Chase, and PS1 Rockman X3, along with the other stuff it came with (8 games plus more stuff in total, as opposed to 4).
I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again:
It's really not Capcom's fault that Rockman has gone to the shitters now.
It's the FANBASE.
@Saito:
ReplyDelete"Seriously, Rockman fans need to make up their fucking minds. Is it good, or not good? Pick a side and STICK WITH IT."
Oh, trust me. I've made up my mind already. Classic and X is where it's at for me. The Zero series is okay, but I don't think it's nearly as good as the other two.

Are you sure there's never going to be another Legends game? There's a Suggestion Box they have over at Capcom Unity, and several people have said that they'd like to see Mega Man Legends 3 come into existence (and if I remember correctly, it got several votes). Keiji Inafune has also stated that he would like to continue that series someday, so I wouldn't rule that one out just yet. Especially with the recent promotion that he's gotten.
@Krazy: I think the point Saito was trying to say is that, while Legends appears to be loved now, back then it was trashed to HELL AND BACK.
ReplyDeleteI remember enough about the fanbase as it was five years ago to know that the same happened to ZX and Zero, especially ZX.
@Saito: X series is already following the path, thanks to what the later games have done. Only difference is that even Inafune himself has already expressed the idea of not wanting to continue with X much further.
