Bass Added To Retro Mega Man 10 Art
The awesome Mega Man 10 triptych just got a bit awesomer. Artist Gerald de Jesus updated the piece to include third playable character Bass, who certainly looks quite menacing -- in a good way.

ReplyDeleteAt least MegaMan and ProtoMan had a lot of similarities so you could tell who it was. But Bass doesn't look anything like himself other than his color schemes. :/

It's pretty damn awesome that they revised it. I mean it looks horrible, but awesome at the same time AND they even took the time to add Bass. Now all we need is Ballade, Enker and Punk D<

ReplyDeleteYou DO realize that that's the entire point of these boxarts, right? The American "boxarts: for Mega Man 9 and 10 were intentionally designed to look "ugly", in order to imitate the ones that were made for Mega Man 1 and 2. I'd say that they pulled that off pretty well.

The art itself is pretty damn good. It's just not accurate to what the characters actually look like (but then, that's the whole point). The art for MM1 actually WAS ugly. There were anatomy mistakes all over the place on that one. But this cover has very well-made art, regardless of what your opinion is of the artistic liberties. You can dislike it for being inaccurate (though, again, that's the point), but don't call it ugly. It is in every way a masterpiece.

Anyway, we are not all smooth talkers or something like you, some of us are more like Eeyore the donkey when it comes to talking. Hehe. Try and speed up your responses though as typing faster can make you seem more intelligent.
Intelligence is like a knife. If you are intelligent, you are at a clear advantage against people who are not intelligent. But if you are intelligent, and another person is not as intelligent, but the other person is willing to train harder than you, the other person will very quickly overtake you in ability. :)
