The artwork's unveiling was followed by this ever-so mysterious tease...
"Congrats Unity members! You've survived the social networking challenges and have unlocked this brand new Mega Man 10 art. What's so special about this? Well...here's a hint. There's a third. A third what? Tune in tomorrow to find out!!"
What could it be? My money's on the unveiling of the third playable character, who I believe belongs to that arm towards the bottom. It's gotta be connected to somebody, right?

Perhaps tomorrow will bring about a "third" picture that acts as a bookend?

with a title like threat from outer space, I would be flabbergasted if Duo didnt show up somehow.
Like I've said many times before, if the third character ends up being anyone other than Bass, I'm going to rage like you wouldn't believe. Don't get me wrong, though. I like Duo as much as the next guy, but I think Bass needs to return first, seeing how they kicked his fanbase in the nuts during the last installment.

ReplyDeleteIf you go to paint, this would be the left pic, the middle would be the original, and the one that is to come would be the right. The right edges of this one fight almost perfectly with the original Mega Man 10 Art.
I sure hope its the third Character reviled. I also hope it's Dr. Light since he's third in the pic, lol.

ReplyDeleteWait a second. Why is it that people are assuming that the character at the bottom is the third playable character? How do we know that it isn't some random enemy like all the other robots in the picture? If that's the third character, then it wouldn't make much sense for him to be on the ground, instead of being alongside Mega Man, Proto Man, and Dr. Light.

ReplyDeleteI would also like to make a prediction. Seeing as we have Dr. Light and his two creations here, the next pic might actually be the third character. Its possible it might be Dr. Wily and Bass.

There's no way that the bottom robot is the third playable character. Some might say that it looks like Duo, but if all of the other characters are roughly the correct scale, why would they make Duo huge? Not to mention that Duo is from MM8, a game Capcom is clearly distancing themselves from lately.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with those who've said that the final image will be the right section with Wily and Bass. So far the image seems to be going for symmetry, after all.
And yes, I would nerd rage if Duo was the third playable character and not Bass. Anybody but Duo, please!

No. Although it apparently has been fixed, original the arm did not connect perfectly onto the original center.
It has to be Bass, he is awesome and he deserves to be in mm10.
