The iPhone and iPod Touch version of Mega Man 2 is on sale once again. The game was recently marked down by 80% the other day, on sale for a low $0.99. No indication when the offer expires, so you might want to get on this deal before it's gone.
You can purchase the game, and its subsequent demo version (for free) directly off of the iTunes Store.
Thanks for the pointer, Vasili.
This seems like a waste of money if you ask me. Not only because of the fact that I think Mega Man 2 is overrated, not because of the fact that it's already on the Virtual Console, but because of the fact that they'll most likely water it down, similar to what was done with one of the Mega Man 3 ports. That was basically the Mega Man equivalent of Sonic Genesis for the Game Boy Advance.
ReplyDeleteI tried the demo and it was terrible.
ReplyDeleteWhat would you two rather play on the iPod touch: action potato!?
ReplyDeleteKrazy Moneky, I dunno why, but some ports usually suck even if it has extras. Operate Shooting Star for instance...
ReplyDeleteGame collections are way better, as you get more for the price of one, and I think playing in phones and portables is a waste of batteries if the game is available to a console.
In MM2's case, it was released for several consoles: Wily Wars (Mega Drive), Complete Works (PSX, Japan only), Anniversary Collection (PS2, NGC, Xbox) and Virtual Console (Wii). Seriously... I wonder when Nintendo will make it possible to play GB, GBA and DS games in the Wii, like they did with the Super Game Boy for SNES and the Game Boy Player for NGC
No offense, but the contorls on the iphone version are HORRIFIC.
ReplyDeleteThey make this awesome game comletely unplayable.
That`s why i say pc rules, god bless emulators!!
ReplyDeleteI really dont get why people are complaining. A port isnt always perfect. I bought this when it was 3.00$ and I give it 5 stars.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you set it to "classic mode" in the options. Sure it isn't a perfect port, but for the price of a mcdouble it's pretty damned worth it IMO
