Another Mega Man Imposter Spotted

It appears the likeness of Powered Up's Mega Man had the dubious honor of recently being ripped off for use on a foreign mobile service advertisement:


The spotter, Ivan 'Nahu' Lozano of Dark Diamond writes, "Ah the beauties of living in a country where intellectual property is so rarely enforced. I spotted this little treasure in a mall’s cell phone kiosk earlier this week, this cute little rip-off is calling himself kit-boy and would like to tell you about unlimited data cell phone plans."

I love the addition of the pinstripes and the "call button" to help solidify this character's "originality." Amusing, no?

    Wow just... Wow. o_o At least with some other rip-offs, it's not as noticeable, and they change it around a bit more, but this one is basically just a recolor with one or two itty-bitty things added on. -_-

    If Kit Boy here were offering a decent deal, maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Instead, if my understanding of the advertisement is correct, this is a pretty nasty rip-off.

    Long Distance to 4 other countries
    Unlimimted Internet
    For a grand total of over $500 a month.
    ...something in there seems screwy. My Spanish isn't the best, but I'm fairly sure it's something along those lines.

    I saw that too! It;s all over my city with TELCEL propaganda.. But Telcel belongs to the richiest man on earth so i guess Magaman gets a better paycheck..
