In anticipation for Mega Man 10's March release, Capcom is throwing together a fan-art contest where you could be eligible to win some pretty sweet prizes. Each week, Capcom will spotlight one of the eight Mega Man 10 Robot Masters, and it's up to you to either draw or create a piece of art that features that specific Robot Master in some shape or form. This week, it's none other than Commando Man!More details after the break...

"Every week (beginning today) we’ll feature one of the new robot masters in Mega Man 10. The contest is this: draw or create something featuring that specific robot master. Now that we have their official bios out, there's more information available about each robot master to get started with. This week, it’s Commando Man!
"You’ll have until Friday at 7:00AM PST to submit your art. Send your art to me [jgonzo] via private message (labeled Commando Man Art Submission) and on Friday, we’ll put out a poll featuring everyone’s art. The winner of each week will receive free copies of Udon’s Mega Man and Mega Man X: Official Complete Works Art Books and be eligible for the finals.Sounds like a pretty cool idea! "The finals will pit all of the winners from each week against each other for a very special grand prize: a signed sketch by none other than Keiji Inafune and/or Hitoshi Ariga (as seen during December’s Mega Man birthday celebration)! "

ReplyDeleteYou DO know that the MM10 website stole his artwork, right? Before MM10 was announced, that guy was already making a fan-mande MM10. He had to change the name of course, but the MM10 website stole some of his pics.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, this'll be pretty interesting to see! I'd like to see if we'll actually get good artwork or not here. Tho I somehow expect it to be crappy drawings even I can out draw. And that's pretty bad.
Im going to try to make a piece for each week. Root for me, well if it turns out good anyway. Ill have the same display name.

i agree, to me hes the Dane Cook of Mega Man fan games. he started off pretty cool and his game looked nice. now after all these fan boys started to inflate his ego he has become so full of himself. like a total d*****bag. even going as far as asking for credit for stuff they used from his game. shuuuut up!! if u didnt want confusion why did u name ur game megaman 10? they already said theyd do a 10 and an 11 if the market was there. capcom doesnt owe u anything. ur lucky its not nintendo and shut ur ass down. oh yea btw, your not the only one to have come with a "nitro" man for a game. nor a tank nor a jet nor hammer, nail, yoyo, comet, disco ball, stapler, chair, globe, horse, fart, et al. ive mande plenty of RM names that they ended up using, its gonna happen. and yoku man? yea how original. heres one for ya, Void Man!!! watch for his bottomless pit attack!! ReplyDeleteWell, his sprite backgrounds being on the MM10 website is kind of a screwup on CoA's part, you can't blame him for that. I'd have thought Capcom would have an indoor art library that webdevelopers could use instead of having to resort to the pics they find on google.
But yeah, it wasn't very smart to name his game MM10 too.
