Capcom Japan's official Rockman 10 website is live, and in addition to playing host to a bunch of new screenshots, the page is featuring a promotional trailer for the game:
UPDATE: The English Mega Man 10 website has gone live. There, you can see even more screenshots, and view an English version of the above trailer. Direct link here.
- It's me or... well, it's not so hot as MegaMan9 was..?
- The intro music sounds much like those pirated NES games, really. The graphics and gameplay looks like a MegaMan4 hack. Nothing much, and I can identify tons of elements ripped from the unofficial (and unreleased) MegaMan10 fangame! >_<;;
I'm always impressed by the Rockman musical scores (some are better than others, of course!), and this one seems like it's going to be nice as well. I do agree with Anon#2: the music seems to have kind of a sad, dark feel, but that's not a bad thing at all!
Now, we can see the sillouettes (sp?) of the new Robot Masters, and was wondering if anyone has figured out what the ones that have not been officially revealed are?
Good question - we do at least have all eight main stages visible now. In addition to SheepMan and CommandoMan, we have the ice, lava, stadium, and sewer stages seen previously plus a nighttime-city one and a medieval-looking fortress.
Going by the silhouettes, the sewer stage's boss has a pipe on his head - PipeMan, maybe, although his finlike arms do confuse me a bit. The fortress-like stage boss clearly has a blade of some kind for a head; BladeMan seems like a reasonable guess for his name.
I think some people in Capcom USA are confused. They also have MegaPhils 8 robot masters and MM10 logo on their newsletter. I can't believe they'd screw up like this.
"They also have MegaPhils 8 robot masters and MM10 logo on their newsletter. I can't believe they'd screw up like this."
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. I was a little confused so I did some quick research. I was also wondering why they would use that. There's an image used at the shop as well.
As for the 8 bosses, I made some silly guesses based on the trailer. Besides the two that we know, I have guessed the following:
Sports/Stadium Man Toxic/Sewer/Sewage/Toilet Man Train/Speed/Fast Man Lava/Volcano/Steel Mill Factory Man Winter/Arctic/Sub-Zero/Snow Man Blade/Weapon/Medievil/Castle/Honor/Noble Man
I guess that Phil should be flattered, in a way, that they thought his project was so official looking (while scouring for images, or whatever they were doing at the time) that they picked his images by accident.
Still, it makes you wonder what kind of idiot(s) did that, especially since the damn picture says "MegaPhilX" in the corner!
I'm not so much concerned that they used Phil's images but more concerned that they're advertising the wrong game and using the wrong images for the official game.
That was pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteMusic gives a real tragic feel to it. It sounds great! Wonder whose theme that is. I have my money on the castle stage.
ReplyDeleteNice! I also noticed at the start the building from MM2s intro (the one Mega Man stands on) is there!

Nice how for each stage, it shows the silh of a boss for each stage. It's definately looking like a great game.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that saw the weapon tank? Nice to see they brought that back...
ReplyDeleteHey, a W tank!

@WanderingMind: Hmmmmmm...Blade Man. You know, it would be cool if they created him as a nod to the DOS games.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an interesting cast of bosses, so I'll be looking forward to hearing more about them!
omg that mm10 site has the same font as my portfolio site I'm working on =o
ReplyDeleteThe Mega Man 10 site has MegaPhilX's comet woman background

Maybe I'm unobservant, but where are you guys seeing pictures, etc., from Phil's game at? Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteThe background used when a tab (overview, screens, downloads) is picked on the official site is Comet Woman's stage background.

Playstation Lifestyle also made the same mistake putting up MegaPhil's RM's.
