On December 17th, Rockman will celebrate his 22nd birthday, and it looks to be a special one.
Capcom just announced plans to broadcast a live event online celebrating 22 years of the Blue Bomber, with Keiji Inafune acting as host. The special will air simultaneously in both Japan and the US on the 16th.
More details are expected to surface "soon."

As seen on Capcom Unity.
22 years of megaman, huh? Pretty good. Happy birthday megaman! And maybe you could bring back megaman stream as appreciation!
ReplyDeleteJust saying, I really want to watch that show...
Where does it say that it will be broadcast in the US?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Megaman, alright they gonna annaunce Legends the animation or Legends on Wee...
ReplyDeleteI'm crossing my fingers for a new game, something better than OSS.
ReplyDeleteI smell an unveil.
ReplyDeleteim always happy on dev 17 cuz dec 17 is me and Megaman's Bday ^_^
ReplyDelete14:00 - 16:00? could someone translate to 24 hour time please?
ReplyDelete2:00 - 4:00
ReplyDeleteI'm just going to say it now: don't get your hopes up just yet, everyone. I highly doubt an unveiling or announcement is coming today. I have a pretty good idea of what's coming next for Mega Man and when that announcement will be made, and it isn't today. I'm sorry I can't say more, but that'll have to be it for now. I'm not trying to tease anyone, I just wanted to let all of you who thought a big announcement might be coming today down easy.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be completely and totally proven wrong, of course (at least in terms of when an announcement is coming), but I don't think I will be. :(
But hey, maybe there's something waiting in the wings that I know absolutely nothing about. One can always hope, right?
Oops, I meant not to expect an announcement "that day," as in 12/17, not "today." Sorry. Lack of sleep. x_x
ReplyDeleteAlso, YukiJudai --
You share a birthday with Mega Man?! I'm jealous. :(
yes i do ^.^
ReplyDeletelike i think its why i rly love Mega Man :D
Mah, I'm not getting my hopes up. I was all excited for OSS's release and then it turned out to be a turd with a ribbon taped to it.
ReplyDeleteThey'd better redeem themselves.
@Anon 4
ReplyDeleteYou say that as if they gave a damn about what you think.
@Anon 5: You say that as if Capcom isn't making Megaman games anymore.
ReplyDelete@Anon6: Other than MM9, they might as well have been some other IP. So outlandish, and so BAD.
ReplyDeleteAnd they sold accordingly.
