... and the rest of the gang:
It's a fine piece of artwork, a significant improvement over the original Japanese version, if I do say so myself.Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars is slated to release on January 26, 2010 exclusively on Wii.

Like how it sorta mimics the art from the first Marvel Vs Capcom, with every character facing off except Roll looking at the viewer (in this case, Volnutt, too)
ReplyDelete1) @Anonymous#1: Yatterman is looking at the viewer, too. So are the green and purple guy at the bottom. Speaking of which, I love how they're now on the box. In the original cover, you can just barely make out their midsections on the very. very bottom. In this one, you can easily see them just looking at you with their dopey faces. :P
ReplyDelete2) Damn, that looks awesome! DO WANT
3) Huh, no Yatterman #2.....
I Seriously Lol'd at Vietuful joe, or however you spell his name.
ReplyDeleteBest. Boxart. EVER.
Roll's in there too. Right behind Zero.

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly. I like how Capcom is going back to their roots. One thing that really pisses me off is how they removed all character themes and replaced it with a whole different soundtrack. If that hadn't have been done, or the themes were remixed again, it would have been a perfect package. I guess they had to get rights to the themes too or something nonsensical business foolery. Overall, I cannot wait til release date. It will become mine.
So no Yatterman #2. Now we've got an uneven roster... Unless they're trying to make Yami count as the last Capcom rep...
ReplyDeleteAlthough now that I think about it, we're short a Tatsunoko rep, not a Capcom one... So nevermind.
ReplyDeleteSo we're missing a character from Tatsunoko. Interesting to see how the character rows is lined up now. Pretty sure in the new JPN one, they will get Hakushon Daimao, but what about us folk across seas?
ReplyDeleteCome on Ai-chan!
@Seiko: THEN AGAIN, what if Capcom counts Yami as part of the Capcom side, and the green and purple guy as part of the Tatsunoko? Then technically, it'd be even. >_>
ReplyDelete@ MegaMac:
ReplyDeleteWait, they changed the entire soundtrack for the American release? I was already a little saddened that they're will be no English Voice Overs.
Well, good thing the only soundtrack I knew of in the game was Roll's theme... Let's hope the soundtrack is still good though since I heard Capcom VS. Marvel 2's soundtrack was horrible.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you're wrong. The wi-fi for the game is suppose to connect worldwide so it'd make no sense to see a character of the supposedly same game appear online. I doubt Daimao will be in UAS period.
@MegamanXTi: Most of it. Mostly due to licensing issues on the Tatsunoko side. I'm sure they left all the non-character themes in it, like the main menu, Yami theme, and credits. Also, this isn't just the US release that's getting changed. All the versions of this game is getting the new soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteHuh?I think I see PW on the the box-art.
ReplyDeleteWhen was Phoenix announced for this?
Oh well,Blue lawyer vvs the Blue Bomber XD

No, he's not. If you're talking about the dude on the left under Viewtiful Joe and Hurricane Polymar, that's not Phoenix. That's Batsu from Rival Schools.
^Huh?Well they look alike...kinda.
ReplyDeleteAnyway thanks for clearing that up.
HOLY SHIT ONLINE PLAY!
ReplyDeleteAlso Zero, Mega Man Volnutt, and Viewtiful Joe on the cover = Win.
