Capcom Japan reports that Rockman EXE Operate Shooting Star will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show (Sept 24th). The demo will be featured at the kid's corner on the 26th and 27th, and those who give it a whirl will get free stickers! Additionally, Capcom will host a special stage event where new OSS info will be presented.
To keep us busy till TGS, Capcom has opened up TGS Theatre where you can see a couple movies related to OSS. No gameplay unfortunately, but one of the videos offers a small sample of the game's remixed title screen theme song. A gameplay video is expected to show up sooner or later.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in. Too many to name; you know who you are!
Thanks for the link, as I just found out from here that Okami is getting a sequel!!! =D
ReplyDeleteWhy are they hosting a stage event to present new info since the game is so recycled? O_o Announce online wifi maybe?
ReplyDeleteNice to hear the classic theme again. I missed it in EXE 4-6. Again, I must whine and express my discontent that it was not a full remake. That would have been so cool.

ReplyDeleteIGN has apparently decided to call it "Mega Man Battle Network Operation Shooting Star"
Someone said: "Another sucky Battle Network game! Forget about Sonic they need to bury Megaman/Rockman, cause he just flat-lined." (shame on him)
And then someone else said: "Retro Studios doing a Mega Man game would be fantastic."
I could go with a Retro Studios Megaman game.
Am I the only one who thinks this game is going to be a crushing failure?
ReplyDeleteRockman.EXE Operate Star Shooting and Okamiden??? :O
ReplyDelete*Died*
the theme reminds me so much of Network Transmission for the GameCube, good memories :)
ReplyDeletewow the game is so gba...
ReplyDeletewhy don't they do a 3-D game
it was a nice opportunity...
I guess my comment about the IGN story wasn't approved?
ReplyDeleteEveryone's messed up. Operate Shooting Star is going to be awesome! I'm so looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThat's not even a video. It's just a really elaborate animation. If anyone is interested I've uploaded some of the images used there.
ReplyDeleteSharing the sentiments that they should have taken more advantage of the DS' capabilities that they didn't with SSR. I think I'm with a lot of people in that the more I hear about OSS, the more I become simultaneously excited and disappointed. Still hanging on to the "new characters" confirmation a while back... and hoping it's not just Clockman.
ReplyDeleteI at least wish they would fix up the battle system to match up with EXE6. That was very polished, I think, as it should have been.
I'm with JDAManson on all counts. They really dropped the ball here.
ReplyDeleteYawn. Not interesting.
ReplyDeleteI am so excite about the Okami is getting a sequel. :)
