According to The Shadow (yup, that guy), Udon Entertainment, in addition to translating and distributing Rockman manga in English, is considering releasing the titles in multiple cover variants. This means that each book will feature different cover artwork from different "non-mangaka" artists. It's a possibility, nothing concrete yet.
The Shadow speculates the comics will be official revealed at Fan Expo where Udon and IDW will present new projects (August 27th - 30th).
Fuck yes fuck yes fuck yes.
ReplyDeleteI kind of hope they don't do that, I don't wanna have to buy multiple copies to have all the covers (because I am compelled to own all things megaman)
ReplyDeletelol, when I first read that, I though it was talking about the complete works. I guess it wouldn't be so bad with the manga if they're only like $7 or $8 per book, as long as there's only like 1 or 2 alternate covers....
ReplyDeleteHaha. As a collector as well I may just have to buy "the best looking" cover. Or the original one if that is one of the choices. This is shaping up to seem very true. Hopefully soon we shall have the truth.
ReplyDeleteAs much as it is nice to get information about things, if this Shadow guy really was a beta tester, he should definately be fired for purposely breaking the contract. I still sort of doubt what he says to be entirely true though.
ReplyDeleteNEVER doubt the Shadow.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, if he is right, he should be fired. And if he is wrong, he shouldn't be sayng that this is a sure thing. Fact is, either way he is in the wrong.
ReplyDeleteAww, but I want regular Ariga covers for my Rockman manga :(
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have the original cover, as it is meant to be. If they add content, just put it in the inside. Leave the covers alone! The mangaka worked hard to draw the cover and color it!
