According to Capcom's official Twitter, the PS3 version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will arrive on August 13th for $15, a mere two weeks after the XBLA version.
As it turns out, the August 13th release date also falls upon the rumored PS3 Retail Pack version. Unfortunately, the pack doesn't come with a copy of the game, but it will contain a redemption code, a free one month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics, 2000 Capcom Unity Points and a disc containing exclusive wallpapers.
The pack will run you $20, $5 more than the cost of the actual game.
Hmmm, didn't they say the price of the game online was going to be $10 initially?
ReplyDeleteWell, that figures. I don't see why we wouldn't get it at the same time as Xbox users, but whatever. At least we're getting it.
ReplyDeleteWhen you've got money to throw around, you can get anything before your competitor. But on the plus side, maybe it will give them a chance to add in something extra or fix some bugs.
ReplyDeleteActually, that $20 deal sounds pretty good. I usually get my PSN points in the form of those PSN cards at the store, instead of putting in my non-existant credit card info, and I usually get the $20 cards, so why not get more bang for my buck?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it all comes in a nice case or something...
