Anybody catch this? At the 0:51 mark, you can hear, among the cheering, Rockman EXE 1's specific theme song playing in the background. I'm not sure if the song was actually playing during the event or if it was added in by Namazutei, the video's author. Some people I've spoken with believe that, if the song was actually a part of the announcement, then that might be a further indication of a possible remake. Personally, I still believe OSS is a cross over of some sort, but hey, you never know.
That music doesn't sound like it was edited in, so I doubt that is a video edit.
ReplyDeletePlus if you listen you can hear it echoing as well.
I just watched it a few more times and faintly you can hear it a certain times AFTER it is heardr the first time, so its playigng the entire time after :51 of course.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably just the theme they chose to use, as it's the most recognizable, being in the most games. Why the one from 1? Probably just to catch the "old-school" EXE fans, whatever that means.
ReplyDeleteHasn't that theme or a remix been used in other EXE games too? It is probably the most recognizable from the series.
ReplyDeleteCool they only announce Megaman/Rockman they should show some pic samples they only excites us fans.......
ReplyDeleteWondered when we'd get footage. Can't watch it at the moment (in a place where it would be strange to have Japanese noises on my computer) but I can speculate on the EXE1 theme...
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like another clue to it being a remake. At this point, there's what I WANT to believe, and what I'm starting to think is really going on. I'd like to believe it's a crossover, but it's looking more and more to be a remake. Even though I usually discount such small things like this as clues toward anything (usually they're just arbitrary and not clues they are intentionally giving us) but they are adding up...
Time will tell. I really don't give a stinking pile of dog poop what form it takes now, I just want the game! \:D/
EXE1 is the first theme, so it's most likely. Also, it's the theme that was used over and over for the largest arc chain of the series, and also happens to be the the part of EXE that had relatively decent plot and character interaction. So, I'm guessing it's for nostalgia, and that Capcom's having trouble figuring out how to get music that fits the more techno/dance/rock music of EXE as well as the considerably lighter SSR or something. Long story short, it's Capcom being lazy due to a lack of stuff.
ReplyDeleteAh, that good old tune.
ReplyDeleteIt had better be released here in the US. I'll be mad if it isn't.
I'd like to point out that the music in the background is also in the background in this scene in EXE2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubxZMSU_oMM
ReplyDeleteI think they used that theme in about a hundred scenes in EXE....
ReplyDeleteI love how the japanese react to surprises with one collective, "EEEEH?!" ^_^
ReplyDeleteIsn't there anyone that can understand Japanese fluently enough to decode this entire speech? o.o
ReplyDeleteXD @Ginrei
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoy that Rockman cosplay. It looks... perfect.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the head. The hair is sideways and the face is plastic-y up close. I would have preferred they made the hair straight and ditched the plastic face for a real helmet with a real visor, but the rest is cool.
ReplyDeleteMuch better than that awful EXE one. >_>
