Oh wow, I knew they cut out EXE3's jackin sequence for America (what with the cartoon and all), but I had no clue they redid 2. I wonder why, it was awesome.
Oh wait, this is anon again. I forgot to mention that the coolness factor of the jack-in animation seemed to go down as the serious progressed. It's backwards. XD
That brought back a lot of memories. I missed the Battle Network series. Star Force is OK but even with 3D battle it feels like a step back since you movement is so limited.
Network Transmission was left out, but I'm guessing the creator of the video limited it to the main titles (and 4.5), seeing that the EXE series has countless spin-offs.
@Soultrigger: I think the reason is that GBA ROMs are easier to record video, thanks to VBA. The author might not have the tools to record video from Gamecube, DS, Wonderswan or any other system. o.o
Wonderswan and DS games are just as easy to record, but Gamecube would be different. You'd either have to point your camera at the TV or have a really nice computer that can handle Dolphin AND a screen recorder.
Or it could have just been personal preference, or a mere oversight. Can anyone ask the video's uploader in their native tongue? I see boxes because this computer has no characters set up, but I assume it's Japanese. Vixy, IIRC you know a pretty good amount of Japanese, right?
The BN3 one always seemed most interesting to me because I had not seen it as much.

ReplyDeleteWhat about twin leaders?
Has it already been 3 years since it ended? :( A shame...

ReplyDeleteI think the DS one is the best.
ReplyDeleteEXE doesn't have countless spinoffs...
ReplyDeleteBCC,
WS
Network Transmission
and the cell phone games. (And the arcade game, but that doesn't count)
Countable! :D And they aren't really spinoffs. But I don't understand why they skipped the DS and Gamecube ones if they did 4.5...

I STILL wonder why they cut 3's jack in sequence. but then again, that game was good enough that it didnt matter.
