Featuring a harem of kids proclaiming their love for Mega Man while screens from various Battle Network titles flash by. Not too bad if you ask me, a lot less painful than this atrocity.
HE'S CALLED THE BLUE BOMBER CUZ HE'S BLUE!! 8D lol seriosuly. have you noticed we have almost never gotten a "real" Megaman commercial? Its always that type of thing. little kids proclaiming how much they love Megaman. at leats the X collection one was somewhat funner.
Oh, man, the Battle Network community was hilarious at its prime. We had stuff like this, all the anime shipping wars, all of the people who absolutely loathed the anime, those RFF makers screaming down everyone's throats at GameFAQs about the sins of alphabet soup, the endless arguments over the usage of the Japanese names over the (usually butchered) changed English names...
It was the most annoying community I've ever participated in, but looking back, I wouldn't have had it become any different.
You know, why is it no one really raved about the Network Transmission game? I personally loved that game, it combined old school sidescrolling with the Battle network characters in a pretty seamless way. Yet I never hear anyone proclaiming their love for it, it pretty much slid away into the bargain bins of obscurity.
I loved Network Transmission and would give a lot of things for a sequel on the Wii or something. In fact, I still fiddle with it occasionally when trying to rip the models from it. XD
I miss those EXE heydays, as much for the anticipation and fellow fandom as the series itself. Now it's kind of petered out to REO, the rest have gone to pot or gone Ryusei. And even the Ryusei sites are slowing.
Lesser of two evils? XD

«I love you Megamen»
err...ok
Oh man, I remember this commercial. It just seems weird.
ReplyDeleteI remember this ad. Cheese-fest. Doesn't detract from my love for the series though.
ReplyDeleteWhich one had the granny in it? I remember wishing I had a granny who would net battle with me.

These kinds of commercials still make me cringe.
