Rabid EXE fans rejoice, an english translation patch for the highly obscure Rockman EXE 4.5: Real Operation is underway. Spikeman of MMBNO fame is single-handedly developing the translation, a project he's been tinkering with for the past few years.How complete is it? Based on the publicly released partial patch, I'd say it's about .2% complete as only menus and little tidbits of text are in comprehendable english. You can download the partial patch here (Rom of EXE4.5 is required). And while you're at it, check out the patch in action here.
We got a ways to go, but I'm very happy to hear someone is undertaking such a huge task. Best of luck Spikeman!

ReplyDeleteWe did get a great Shinbok (Boktai 3) translation cranked out though. We never finished Englishifying the graphics but the game's 100% playable :)

Yeah, that website reported on the news way late. There hasn't been an update since 2007 and his website is gone.

ReplyDeletethis cake is a lie. the translation of menus and weapon only work with megaman. I don't go much long because the translation is fu****. I recommend learn japanese and try without this.
