Obvious Pirate Is Obvious: Mega Man X8 For Game Boy Advance

The Mega Man series has spawned its fair share of bootlegs, but for the life of me, I don't recall ever seeing this mockery before: Ebay UK is hosting an auction for a Mega Man X8 Game Boy Advance cartridge. A 32-bit X8? Now that's what I call a technical feat!

  1. Who wants to bet it's one of the MM GB/C/A games with fancy new label art (from the wrong game)?

  2. Some pirates are interesting. I once saw a pirate BN6 that had a blue gradient with Megaman on it. That's neat.

  3. Shame. I would've loved a portable X8. Though I would prefer it for the DS. :p

  4. I'm guessing its just a pirate port of Mega man Xtreme for gameboy color.

  5. I hardly think buying this affects the industry. This is different from a pirate.

The label is horribly applied, if that's really a label... Probably a random mario game with a shiny sticker on it.

  7. That is just so sad..... if they had at least put it as X6, or used X8's box art, then i could at least give them a small bit of credit for trying, but no... X8 with X6's art???? That's just wrong on so many levels.

Also, did anyone else notice on how they conviniently said "We have misplaced the box and instrcutions"?

  10. Try not to fall for it; the curiosity of the cartridge's contents are tempting, but supporting pirates is the last thing this industry needs.Congratulations! You are the only person on the internet who thinks that buying what is obviously a fake version of a product instead of the real thing (when generally speaking the only people are even going to BUY this are people who have played the actual MMX8) is actually taking money away from Capcom. Get off your high-horse, sir, and if you must go after pirates go after people who dump commercially available ROMs.
