No, Metal Man Is Not Getting His Own Game

This video's been making the rounds today, and I simply could not ignore it:



That was Curve Studios' titular character "Explodemon", who looks a hell of a lot like Mega Man 2's very own Metal Man.

The game, Explodemon! is a self proclaimed homage to various classic platformers .The official press release from Curve reads:
"Explodemon! is a 2.5D action platform game with an explosive main character. Mixing classic platforming action – from classics such as Mario and MegaMan – with the refined contemporary gameplay of Halo and Half-Life 2, it brings old-school gameplay bang up to date. Coming from Curve’s deep-seated love of video game culture and history, Explodemon! is wrapped up as a loving homage to SNES-era Japanese action games.

Explodemon! will release on PSN, PC and WiiWare in 2009."
Very interesting concept. Color me excited!

    Capcom needs to take a cue from these guys. This is the perfect way to revive the MHX series, course that's just my opinion.

    another must have for me. now i just have to decide which system to download it for... i'll probably decide based on storage space. i mean now that we have that update for the wii, it has virtualy limitless storage, compared to the ps3's stationary hard drive.

    this game looks kinda odd from what i have seen so far the game play seems to simple to be good but we shall find out soon when the game comes out i wonder how much it will cost

    It looks fun and I love the art style. I agree with...well, pretty much everyone else: Capcom NEEDS to make Rockman 10 look like this.
