Alright you MegaMan/Rockman lore masters, quick question for you: I keep a bunch of notes and papers detailing the mythology of the Blue Bomber's universe, and I just so happened to stumble upon a tidbit I never cited. Care to enlighten me where this came from? (i.e name of source book)
"Have any of you ever wondered why Wily designed a robot with long hair? It's the source of his enormous power. However, it is not the volume of said hair that matters, it's merely the length. Even going through many style changes and many different volumes, the length of Zero's hair is constant, as is Zero's power output. The only exception to this rule is during awakening (RMX5), but at that point, Zero's hair draws in more and more energy from the air, hence it floating.
Even more interesting, when Zero was sealed (X6 future sealing ending). His hair was cut off for safety reasons, if he woke up, he would be powerless. Hence Weil required the Omega body armor to make him strong again while still taking advantage of his immunities.
There is no proof for this in the games, you say? Not true. In Zero 3, Omega is clearly shown to regenerate his hair from nothing. Something he was incapable of doing 100 years prior due to him lacking the power of Dark Elf. Hence Omega not using the Zero body in Elf Wars-- It would have been suicide."
Are you kidding? You mean that Zero is officially Samson? I don't know whether to laugh or scream.
ReplyDeleteThere's no mention of this nonsense in the X Compendium.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a joke made by Zan Sidera about 1 year ago :/
ReplyDeleteLast time I checked Zan said that was a joke. Y'all are looking too far into this stuff. Zero's just a super robot, his level 9000 power level makes just as much sense MegaMan's strength coming from "justice".
ReplyDeleteI don't see any evidence of Zero with shorter hair during the X6 ending.
ReplyDeleteI always thought that he had long hair because Keiji felt like it and it makes him look a bit more like Proto Man.
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, though, Zero has free will. He probably just thought it looked cool.
I thought his strength came from the color red.....
ReplyDeleteWait, I have a better one.....his power comes from division.......ya know, cuz anything divided by 0 = INFINITE POWER
ReplyDeleteOh dear.
ReplyDeleteYes, as others have said, this was a joke by Zan, one I myself fell for when I thought he was being facetious about it coming from the "Legendary Spotlight Stealing Red Warrior Complete Works."
I quoted it here:

But I'm not sure where the original post is. I might have pulled it off a previous forum.
It's too bad, too; it makes a lot of sense in that funny sci-fi sort of way that makes us love everything else in the series.
Where did you dig this up, anyway?

That's a shame, sounds super legit.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I pulled it off of the MegaMan BB a year or two ago.
With all due respect, dude, I know you want to keep people entertained, but I don't think we need an article on "Zero's hair is his power." =/
ReplyDeleteHey in DBZ their hair got bigger and longer as the grew stronger
ReplyDelete(SS3 anyone). Lol nice joke though.
I don't know if Zero is officially Samson since someone might be used Zero as Samson to tell the story about his yellow hair.
ReplyDeleteThe creator never say anything about it so I don't think it has anything to do with yellow hair as power.
I am sure that someone use Zero as Samson from the bible about lose his hair after cut. Nonsense. If the creator say so then it should mentioned years ago. No way.
No wonder Zero never got a haircut XD.
ReplyDeleteAhahah! I remember this. Yes, it's a joke, but it's an AWESOME JOKE. If it were true, it would ROCK MY WORLD. Zero as a parallel to Sampson just seems really freaking cool to me.
ReplyDeleteBut then, I love my Bible. XP
And nice hair.
Hee hee...
Well even within the joke, good thing it's length not volume, 'cause if that were the case, then X8 would've been some really hard days for poor Zero.
