According to VGChartz, Shooting Star Rockman 3's seventh week saw yet another sales boost: From December 21st~27th, 2008, SSR3 sold an additional 20,391 units thus bringing the total sales to 170,000 units. Notably, the last time weekly sales were this high was during SSR3's second week.
If this 20k trend keeps up, SSR3 will hit 200,000 units by next week.
It just keeps on rising, huh? Sounds like word of mouth doing its work. I'm rather glad to see SSR3 increasing in sales.
ReplyDeleteDang, that pic is cool. If all of the art for this series were this good, I'd probably be a bigger fan of it. But still, the other FMian designs bug me a bit... I can't place what it is exactly, but they just aren't my favorite.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!! We either to have more SSR or move on to another series or going back to series like Legend, X, and so forth. SSR3 is doing well, let's hope the future Mega Man games to release/in development.
ReplyDeleteA sequel was already garunteed for this boring series.
ReplyDeleteIts not boring, Junkman. You just aren't as good at the game.
ReplyDeleteIt wont be for the next sequel. It will be improvement in sale but it is the last game and they are move on to the new games. No sequel for it, I am sure of it accord to the team of capcom, anyway.
ReplyDeleteUh, hehe... where are you getting that idea? There will almost surely be a sequel. If there is not, it was because Capcom changed their mind halfway through development.
ReplyDeleteI don't want a new Rockman. Too many of them is too many of them. I love EXE and ryusei is ok, but they'll have to come up with something truly awesome that recaptures what was my love for the EXE series for me to be ok with another Rockman.
Take ZX Advent. It's an english translation of a Japanese game that spun off of a spinoff (ZX) of a spinoff (Zero) of a technical spinoff (X) of the Rockman franchise. OI!
Gosh, I remember when the first pictures for SSR1 were being teased.. Heck! I remember EXE2's art!! :'(
ReplyDelete>Its not boring, Junkman. You just aren't as good at the game.
ReplyDeleteOh no, you found me out, I hate this simplistic, poorly thought out series because I'm not good at it. That HAS to be it!
Well, that thought process wasn't obvious since not everybody thinks of SSR that way. I have to agree in that it was poorly thought out though. Simplistic... maybe, but it's definitely way more complicated than the sidescrolling series. :P Just because it's easier, that doesn't make it a bad series.
ReplyDeleteSometimes people hate games because they aren't good at them, though. ;)
I loved the battle network series and I also liked SSR. I read in nintendo power that SSR3 might come to north america in august. Can't wait!!!!
