Notice anything missing from the list? I do: no "Forte's theme song", thus confirming his absence in RM9.
In related news, Siliconera has posted up a lengthy review of the OST complete with pictures. The review reveals a number of extras such as a boss gallery and staff commentary.
I do hope my copy arrives soon, I just can't wait anymore.
Guys OST is out on youtube. ITS AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteMy personal favorites:
Splash Woman
Magma Man
Plug Man
Tornado Man
Hornet Man
Galaxy Man
havent heard the rest of it yet.
Wily Stages!? Who would of guessed that huh? :D
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about MM9 I don't think it's healthy. The bosses look surprisingly cool and the music seems to kick major ass. I'm surprised to say the least.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Protodude, you think you could go into your Blogger dashboard and change the colour of links? Bright yellow on white isn't very easy to see...

What's missing to spoil now? :(
ReplyDeleteI don't think that confirms his missing-ness... but it could be a bad sign. ;__;
ReplyDelete@Age: Huh, that's weird, I could sworn it was a much darker color yesterday.
ReplyDeleteTaking care of it.
Do you think the BIG Rockman9 coverage affects the (re)play value? I bet it does.
ReplyDeleteYes, the links are hard to see sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteGood soundtrack overall, though I'm disappointed with the recycled MM2 music. I mean, come on, Capcom.
ReplyDeleteLack of a Forte theme simply means that you don't fight him. Considering what Inafune said about Rockman and Forte being parallel to Rockman 9, Forte could very well be a playable character.
ReplyDeleteWell, there's a special stage so maybe he's the boss of that stage. Or maybe Bass will just be a costume to use. I doubt they'd completely leave him out.
ReplyDeleteI really like:
Magma Man
Hornet Man
Plug Man
Concrete Man
Tornado Man
For those who can't wait...some of the soundtrack has already been uploaded to youtube from #1-#21

I dunno, if they're lazy enough to leave the slide out of this game, I wouldn't be too surprised if they left Bass out, too. Since this game is supposed to be based on Mega Man 2, well... Bass wasn't around then, was he?
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like they're just going to conveniently forget that Bass exists, as has happened to so many other Mega Man characters.
Perhaps Forte (or Bass) will be a DLC very soon..?

ReplyDeleteThe GAMEPLAY is based on Mega Man 2, but it has been explicitly stated by Capcom and Inafune multiple times that, timeline- and story-wise, Mega Man 9 takes place after Mega Man 8 and is a direct sequel.
And you seem to forget that Rush, Eddie, Beat, and Auto are all present and accounted for as well -- and none of them were around for Mega Man 2 either. Hell, Auto wasn't introduced until Mega Man 7, just like Bass. Thus, you really have no basis for believing that Bass would be left out because the game is "based on" Mega Man 2, because it isn't -- only its gameplay is (the removal of the Mega Buster and slide). Story-wise, it's a true blue sequel.
