RM9 Could Be the Savior of the Industry
Can Rockman 9 change the gaming industry?
Jeremy Perish (of Toastyfrog fame) has put together a lengthy article discussing how the industry can learn a few things from Rockman 9.
Perish points out that a successful game doesn't need to contain 1080p HD graphics, surround sound or other bells and whistles. All it needs is solid gameplay to keep us entertained, regardless of graphics and all that other stuff. And that's where Rockman 9 comes in.

Let's hope it can open game developer and publisher's eyes. Not to sound like an old fart, but when all is said and done, its all about the gameplay and Mega Man games have always delivered. (Well except X6 and X7.)
ReplyDeleteX6 and X7 ? X8 too ! that game sucks (well compared to X1 trough 5)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the article. Although I must say the author sure has some chips on his shoulder.
ReplyDeleteI liked X7's gameplay! but that's just me. But yes. I'd take Gameplay over quality. If the graphics are AWESOME but the gameplay stinks then I'll get screenshots to look at the graphics :D
ReplyDeleteP.S. Can anyone tell me how to contact Protodude?
@Kaldeon:
ReplyDeleteMy contact information is on the right side of the blog
