Musings of a Rockman Fan
So I had some sit down time yesterday and thought up of a few things that really grind my gears about our favorite franchise.
-Metools/Mettaurs/Mets, have been annoying us for twenty years with their ability to deflect attacks, only to be destroyed when they peek to see if we have let our guard down. The things are freaking invincible. Why hasn't their technology been implemented into other foes such as Robot Masters? Surely a brilliant mad scientist such as Wily would have realized this.
-Does anyone ever recognize Netto as a hero? The kid saves the world from disaster, but his efforts are forgotten in the following sequel. To make matters even more awkward, he's never rewarded. Where's my jumbo check?
-While we're on the topic of the EXE series, why is an area that has a total of four to six buildings considered a "town?" Sure, this applies to many RPGs, but am I the only one that notices the amount of homes in Akihara Town gradually decrease in each sequel? What happened the school? (EXE4)
-If you're an "animal" Repliroid, chances are you're going to be an Irregular. When have we ever come cross a animal Repliroid that has not turn out to be evil? I had high hopes for Magma Dragoon, but that went down like a lead balloon.

ReplyDeleteA: Which adult government would want to admit they couldn't save the world or even their own country? Most 1st world societies would look down on that. It could also be because the Hikari's doesn't want alot of press around Netto/Lan.
Or it could be that Rockman is more awesomer..er... Have you ever wondered what goes on while Rockman is battling the bad guys? Netto is standinging there in the final chamber... occasionally slotting-in a chip. Wily is sitting awkwardly in a corner awaiting his downfall... "So, uh... Hikari... How's school goin'?" "I got a C in math yesterday..." "Aw, that's too bad. Want some coffee?" "Naw, I've got a test tomorrow-- shouldn't have caffeine, it'll keep me awake tonight..." Foot tap... "Well, I'm going to go watch some TV, tell me if you defeat my ultimate weapon." "OK. See ya."
ReplyDeleteYeah, I could see that.
