Hobby Rock 2017 Preview - First Look at New Garage Kits


Hobby Rock, Japan's bi-annual Rockman figure and garage kit gathering, starts February 19th, 2017. Here are the some of the kits coming from Japan's finest early next year:

    Meh... All I want is the 4th one down, that big maverick from the Zero 3 game! I know its going to be EXPENSIVE but wow it looks worth it! Or I might get one or two of the Volnutt kit,I already have it built and all, but could use some spare parts. Looks like I have to start saving to get my pre-orders in.

    The 2017 lineup isn't as eye-catching as the 2016 lineup. The only ones that look interesting to me are the Mayl/Roll.EXE statue and the Auto figure.

    The Volnutt looks cool as it seems like it'll be articulate, if it's already painted I'm prepared to pay stupid prices even knowing full and well we may get some Legends merch in the near future.

    I'd also like the Fire Saurian, because I can't have enough Star Force stuff, really though I wish people would just take the Wave Battle DX figurines and make high quality customs out of them, I'd like to have all the MMSF2 forms and the MMSF3 Finalized forms to go with the first games forms.

    Volnutt looks neat, but the rest are things I could easily pass on. Even Volnutt's features seems a bit off.

    I REALLY hope the 4inch Nel line tackles an official Volnutt figure. I would've rather had a D-Arts/S.H.Figuarts, but that line seems dead... so I'll take what I can get.

    Yooooooooo TRE TIS TA! Mayl&Roll.EXE, ok not my cup of tea (super feminine) but cool nonetheless, goes with the recent EXE releases too, Auto/Righto looks nice also.

    mmmmmmmmmm....................... Yeah that's all I'm interested in, sucks since I can get none.

    Hope Hi-GO! delivers a beastly piece of artwork again at least.

      The point being that Rockman is -- or was -- primarily a video game franchise. Sadly, those days appear to be long gone (unless you count terrible mobile "games" or the millionth re-release of decades-old content).
